It seems to me more of the usual Mac mess. You aren't in High Sierra, are you?jdoo wrote:You guys are probably right. I had a number of issues initially... browser change, just happened to be something I tried... but I was doing multiple things. Another thing, I hadn't done... is initially install the collection again. I had my old version, and wanted to launch it before installing - so I could check the differences. Immediately, it (the old version of the software) prompted me for my license/Legacy Bundle Product Code. That... did not work, from this old version. I had to close the dialogue boxes.. and install the new software. All the collection titles.. Then when I launched the new versions - it prompted me for the license / Legacy Bundle Product Codes. I copy/pasted that URL into Safari.. and registered them there. Convoluted mess... but it got my stuff working. Sorry for droning on . . but that's what worked for me - and may beat, waiting for Korg support to come back into the office (on a holiday weekend)...sin night wrote:Firefox and Safari on Mac here, both up to date, none of them working.
Anyway, I don't think it's a browser issue.

Still on Sierra, I won't update to High Sierra anytime soon (I have a lot of unsupported things, like Logic Express 9 and Reason 7 - that I don't use but I don't want to miss); next year I'll probably buy a new computer and switch to windows (which I don't like, but it still looks like a reasonable choice at the moment) .
I'll try again with Chrome, because the store crashes sooner on Safari than Firefox, so it could actually have additional issues other than back end problems (I hope it's not so)...

Dual feeling here - in one hand it's really desirable and long awaited continuation of development for KLC, in other side - who has gforce unit perhaps no sencse to do something exactly now, because imo Oddity2 is unbeatable unfortunately, though i not tried new korg variant yet, but even UI are speak for yourself, i think. A much better would be see improved current synths (for example total automation in M1\WS), or software reincarnation of other Korg flagman's like Triton etc. As well, if add some mentioned problems with install, (and discontinued CELL ?) the situation becoming else more dual. In general - the trend is encouraging, but they have not brought happiness yet.

..back to the Odyssey. A good primer on the Odyssey's capabilities and functions can be found in Marc Doty's Series here: It's 8 part series is great (and free).
He goes through the hardware Odyssey, but everything is applicable to the software versions as well. Definitely worth going through, if you're trying to get your arms around programming the Odyssey...

Well I did lament that repro blows it out of the water for me and didn't say but lamented to myself how I spent more money on this than all the great stuff I got from u-he this year.
I haven't played a real odyssey in probably in over 30 years so I cant even comment how authentic it is, but I really think repro ruined it for others... others can comment with their own views.

What a discouraging experience with Korg. The web site is unusable, no presence from Korg helping users, explaining what's going on or when things will improve. Really a poor showing on their part, with what should be a great roll-out. Sigh...

Years ago I bought the so called "Digital Legacy" collection. sometime later they upgraded the digital legacy users to the full legacy product for free, but only for some people that had purchased digital legacy after a certain date, which I was not one of them, and they provided no upgrade path for me to the full legacy, only the option to pay full price for individual plugins, which would add up to the same cost as buying legacy outright..in other words..no upgrade path at all for me... I asked them numerous times over the years to provide an upgrade path for me and they never would and never did. They eliminated the Digital Legacy product and many of hte digital legacy users got bumped up to full legacy for free...but me, I guess because I had bought it before a certain date...sorry charlie...no upgrade path at all...
Now, its the same, no upgrade path at all, just the option to pay full price for individual plugins which would add up to just as much as paying full price.
Sorry Korg.... will never pay full price. At this point especially I have acquired so many other great synth plugins... years ago I would have appreciated the Mono/Poly without question...but now...eh... if I had a reasonable upgrade path I might do it just to have it but they really abandoned me as a user before and continue to do so....so.... there it is..

I'm guessing Korg are aware of this issue, and are trying to fix it ASAP.

If they were aware of the issue it wouldn't take much to throw a post up on Twitter or on their FB page. It's a terrible look.
