If I forgot, or missed one, just post your vote in a reply. I started another thread that explains the purpose of this poll and for the discussion.

Why does it matter which one i use?
What inspires me wont inspire everyone else, if it did there would only be one daw(we could call it Highlander)

Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Nothing much inspires me anymore, certainly not software. I have to sort of whip myself up into interest in music by listening to music that interests me. Some software gets in the way, and some software gets in the way much less, but no software inspires me to sit down and work. Currently, i find Logic less obstructive to me than Sonar was, simply because its behavior is more consistent and much less crashy.

Logic is so far beyond anything I ever expected to have, I can't help but come up with a scratch track of something or other every time I load it. There's just so much there, and with my 3rd party stuff, I have pretty much everything I could want to make music. I have a few templates designed for various things, and they get me off and running pretty quickly.
There are other variables that affect my inspiration, though. One is my ability to concentrate for more than a few minutes at a time, or lack thereof.

DAW is just a tool and nothing more. It’s synths, samples(Kontakt), drums(Superior) guitars and one bass that inspire me.

I should have put the reference to the discussion thread in originally. And I was in no way trying to start a war and that is absolutely not what I want. I was hoping for an intelligent discussion on what users think works and what doesn't in DAWs.Apratim wrote:did you think about this topic before posting this post

And, largely, with a few exceptions, it seems to be headed that way. As far as I'm concerned, just about every DAW brings something positive to the table. I really hope people leave the "My dad can beat up your dad" aspect out of it.
Ultimately, I was hoping to have things I could point out to the developers when I talk to them.

What I'm really talking about here is the way the look of the DAW makes you feel when you first boot it up. This is of course highly subjective, but it's also very interesting. Certain products will not sell because they turn off users. Certain products sell because they appeal on a gut level. Apple has made a fortune off the latter.
What really prompted me to post this is that there's one DAW I really like the look of, but I use another simply because I can get things done a lot quicker. If you don't suffer from this, that's perfectly valid.
There is no correct or incorrect choice here.
