Got an email from KeepForest that says, "Buy any of our instruments free library as a Christmas gift" but there's nothing about it on the website and I'm not really sure which they consider instruments vs. libraries.

It's around 80 samples in a Christmas themed Kontakt UI. About 100MB in size.Fleer wrote:Got a similar email as a KeepForest customer, yet with a download link. Didn’t hit it yet, so I can’t tell you what it is.

Not sure. It's not a big thing. I don't think I will keep it on my system but you might want to check yourself. I have seen worse Christmas gifts. It is a bit eclectic and it does not cover anything I do not already have elsewhere.

My apologies, you're correct. I must have mixed up Sultan drums and the free Ostinato Strings i got last year.szurcio wrote:No, last year it was Sultan Drums, not Sultan Strings: https://www.native-instruments.com/foru ... as.312858/Kypresso wrote:You missed it, i got sultan strings for €30 exactly a year ago.szurcio wrote:I have waited 3 years for any discount deal on Sonokinetic Sultan Strings - I guess it's not going to happen this year either.
New years resolution, dont try posting without having had the first coffee of the day.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Right on! Yes, sadly not 24 bit. lol. Definitely a high energy sale though.
Glad you got to check it out. It was worth it for me.

Well guys. I wanted to take a minute and wish you all a Merry Christmas.
I've appreciated all the deals and fun discussion here on the board since I started lurking here around 1999 or so was it? 97? 2000? Somewhere around there.
Anyway, I'm giving myself the Christmas present of not spending anymore on GAS.
I had a few bad purchasing experiences of late and it helped wake me up to the fact that I don't need to be wasting my precious funds unnecessarily on more and more plugins. It has become an addiction and it's time to choose to get over it. I've literally got WAY way way way way way more stuff than I'll ever use or need.
My plan is to not look here on the board for the next 3 years. Use what I already have, and save my pennies. Had I not spent the $200,000+ I've spent on studio equipment and software in the last 20 years, I could have already had rental income property or been a bitcoin millionaire if I'd invested it like I started doing originally. Hindsight is 20/20. But I guess I've got a great studio full of nice gear and software (that's aging) and it was fun at least.
Anyway. Thanks guys. It's been fun. Time to solely make music and stop looking.
Take the red pill.

One last deal for you though. Here's what you can do with all the hundreds of extra unused plugins you've bought over the years and never used. It'll even save you time and money. This is the best deal you'll ever find right here:

I understand the needing to step back from buying more and more stuff you don't use. I'm getting to that point myself. Thought the GAS still attacks, I didn't spend as much this year as last year. And it is starting to have to be a pretty good deal before I even look now.
Or something that will write music for me.
Good luck with your music.

Damn you. But credit where credit is do for a legitimate Rick rolling. I work in tech and I can generally sniff them out before they get me.
