I think it's related to the fact that it is quite easy to get these sounds out of Bazille, while it is really tough to explore the more organic side of it.
However, it's a good idea to revisit the presets from time to time, there are incredibely good sounds....
ps. anybody here uses Zensound's Bazille-sets?

Matt Bowler (The Unfinished) has a pretty good Bazille soundset called 'Humankind' that has to do with expressive pads and leads, amongst other sounds. An excellent effort in the right direction

Finished since a couple of months, actually. Repro-5 took priority leading up to Xmas, of course! Can't say exactly when it will be available, but I don't think we'll be just sitting on it for TOO long. Needs some blurb, video(s) etc. beforehand.rockbottom wrote:One year later: Howard, how is that Bazille cookbook doing?

This will be an insta-buy for me, and I hope the wait isn't too long!Howard wrote: Finished since a couple of months, actually. Repro-5 took priority leading up to Xmas, of course! The best learning tool for me so far with Bazille has been, probably not surprisingly, doing reverse-engineering from your (Howard's) presets, in particular the ones in the "tune loops" category. Your work in there is absolutely incredible to me! I've learned a ton about using the Sequencer, and in so many different ways, thanks to spending time deconstructing those patches (Berlin Beauty, Emit Oritz and the Plodular patches, fwiw, are among my favs / most instructional !)
So, yeah, VERY psyched for this new bank to arrive.
cheers,
-Michael

I agree. Lots of examples of the kinds of sounds that you can't make with other synth plugins.synth_punk wrote:+1 on What Is Valis set.
A couple others...

Yes you can make amazing pads and atmospheres with Bazille, but Bazille allows you to reach into ranges unattainable with most other synth plugins.
