Ever buy a CD after you had already bought the Vinyl album....and the cassette ? I have.........

Considering each item was likely mastered differently/remastered, in addition to format-specific work like Dolby noise reduction, Red Book, or stream encoding, it's technically a whole new product. Though upgrade pricing would be nice.

I wonder if all the M1 and T1 presets will still be included with the M1 once they update the interface. I assume the upcoming new version will be the same as the current iOS version, which requires you to buy the M1 and T1 presets separately...

Korg's planning on updating the interface, not removing a whole bunch of presets/cards. Your assumption is not based on anything.

It's based on the fact that the Odyssey is a port of the iOS version. I thought that was obvious, sorry for your misunderstanding.

That's a fair point. I've been advising people to talk to Korg through their own support forum/pages. Korg really ought to do better THERE, though, also. It's been mostly unattended for months.

And i think it's similarly stupid to demand a KORG apology on Facebook.

BTW, I sent in a support ticket, it was answered and addressed in a few hours. On Xmas eve. I think they have definite issues, but they are working things out from what I see. I hope we get new GUIs soon, including a bigger skin for the Odyssey.

Given that "taking a shit" means taking a dump, one might think that "to give a shit" would mean its opposite = constipated. The latter state is something to care/be concerned about, so I guess it all makes sense "in the end"! And don't get me started on the British term "taking the piss" - it sounds like a solemn collective civic duty that is passed from one UK resident to another in quick succession.

I think it's a phrase that came from the evolution of other phrases. "Not give a shit" possibly comes from things like "they wouldn't even piss on me if i was on fire". So therefore something maybe like this: "My parents are so stingy that they wouldn't even give me the shit from their asses if i asked for it." So therefore "don't give even a shit" turned into "don't give a shit." And then "i give a shit" came along as the opposite.

As for the British "take the piss" ... I'm not British, so... i get it, but not how it came to be.

I was finally able to migrate from the Korg Legacy Collection to Korg Collection. I have the full Korg Legacy Collection.

I applied the coupon to the Korg Store, that showed $199. for the Legacy Collection, then got it to show $0.00 after I input the coupon code.

Q1. I have the option to add the ARP Odyssey at $49.00 but it keeps asking me for a coupon code. Which coupon code, or where do I obtain it from, I was thinking I don't need a coupon since the price is already discounted at $49. but that's not the case here, it needs a coupon code to allow me to proceed to the order checkout. Any feed on this would be helpful. (Oh I also have the option to purchase the ARP Odyssey at $69.)

Q2. Has there been any changes/updates to the current Legacy Collection Synths ? if No, then I'm guessing I don't need to download any new updates for them, and just use the ones I currently have installed from the Legacy Collection. (Correct ?)

The upgrade button is right near the migrate button on the old user page. But if like me, you migrated then want to get the $50 price, you probably need to send in a support ticket, they will issue you a new code (actually I recall they just changed the price for the upgrade to $50 for me, no code issued directly), and you make the purchase again, this time paying $50 instead of nothing. They were very quick with it for me, it only took a few hours between the time I sent in the ticket, a couple quick emails, and we were done. If the Upgrade coupon doesn't work for you before contacting support, be sure to include the upgrade code and your order number for the first migration to them to avoid needing to give it to them later.
