No other artist holds the muse in such a unique way.
Thanks David Gilmour for the great find.

I wouldn't mind holding her muse if she got tired.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Everyone always talks about her work on "Don't Give Up" or whatever that Peter Gabriel song was called. But I always preferred her much less celebrated contribution to the earlier "Games Without Frontiers", which is a truly haunting song.

As for her own work, the Dreaming has always been closest to my heart, though she has written many fine songs throughout her career.

And yes, my early twenty-something self was indeed madly in love with her. I mean, that voice, that face, that figure, AND that adorable accent?

Sigh.....

I've seen the name a few times over the years. 'Since 1977'? really?

I clicked on one link in here about Bigfoot or whatever. Doesn't ring a bell, that voice. I'm not a big follower of pop music nor am I good with names.

I'll join the Kate Bush CJ. I first heard her around the Hounds of Love release in 1985. Running Up That Hill was probably the first song of hers I ever heard. Bought the album and it just instantly clicked... one of those rare (for me) albums that I can listen to all the way through, in the original order.

I'm not sure I've heard anything after The Sensual World, but I love that and everything that came before it.

She is the total package. Brains, talent, whimsy, and yes one of the most memorable musical voices. She was 100% a high school crush of mine.

SIDE NOTE: I've heard a number of covers of Kate Bush songs and they normally just make me want to listen to the originals. I really love Ra Ra Riot's version of Suspended in Gaffa, though. It preserves the original's playfulness while still delivering something new. Goddam can that woman write songs.

This one was my favourite.
