Maybe a stupid comment but I could not find my installers anywhere, until I realized that they were located under my Account/Account information/Registered products. I always associate account information with my address, name, password ans stuff like that. I never expected to find the installers in that location :dog:
I checked there. It seems that i have to download the installers from the links in the emails, installe them, and run through the authorization process on each plugin, before the account will even show that i own these products. I think this is dumb, personally.
Seems to be the case. I haven't updated yet, but was hoping it was a one-off registration/authorisation for the bundle, using the new serial number.

Apparently Korg contract smart third-party developers and, i presume, do a good job of telling these developers what they want and how it should look/sound/behave. I just wish they could cut down on the GUI inconsistencies from product to product. The last few have been more consistent, but the older ones seem virtually abandoned. They probably should have an actual in-house development team.

What I find interesting (from 0:40 on) is that the more technology progresses, the closer one gets to tactile operation again :hihi:

Makes me wonder if there is a generic Midi keyboard app for touchscreens. Would be cool, a, say, 2.5-octave virtual Midi controller with wheels and assignable buttons and sliders on a 12" tablet put flat on the table :)
These apps exist since years.
Indeed there are some fantastic apps which you can play on screen nearly as good as on a midi keyboard if you don‘t need tactile feedback.
Things like polyphonic pitchbend, polyphonic aftertouch and other expressions works even better as on my Seaboard Rise.
Sometimes i think it‘s indeed the clostest to hardware since you can touch all the sliders, knobs on the GUI itself rather than having to assign things to extern controllers or using just one control at a time via mouse/trackpad.
This also lends to sometimes innovative and interesting GUI‘s compared to a lot „boring“ stuff and terrible GUI‘s on desktop.
Welcome to the future.
Of course these things could work on windows too if any developer would be interested.

This migration thing sucks...
I made finally to migrate my plugins (one by one, what a boring procedure),
but... where are now the Legacy Cell and MDE-X (the effects) plugins to download from the Korg ID account?
In my Korg User account I have all 7 plugins to download, now in Korg ID just 5... what the ***?

Also: Korg User Net account doesn't give me any upgrade coupon for the new full Korg Collection!
I originally upgraded to the Legacy Collection from the M1Le, could be the reason of that?
Not that I die to have the new Korg Odyssey plugin having already GForce Oddity 2, but man... I should have the option to upgrade owning the same full Legacy Collection as all others!
Any other of you have found the same problem?
We are the true makers of our destiny.

I upgraded to the full Legacy Collection from M1 LE, but I have the coupon for the Arp Odyssey Upgrade (it's on a separate page: I have two orange buttons in my user area, one for each coupon).

I think you should contact Korg Support if your user area shows only the migration coupon.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
free multisamples (last upd: 22th May 2021).

Why will the Arp thingy cost twice as much as all the other plugins? Just because it is new or is it of superior quality? Like 0df filters? (Would explain why people say it uses a lot of CPU.)

Good question but i think i remember that on iOS they are all same priced.
So maybe the others get more expensive too if they ever get the update and Korg tries to melk the cow of course. If that not works there will be sales every few weeks :D

Post

It's the same with their iOS Gadgets. The newer ones cost more than the originals. I guess they feel they're at a stage where they can ask for higher prices. They do have half-off sales fairly regularly, but not lower.

Post

Probably just that it's newer and they've spent more money recently on developers/development all in one batch (though they're effectively double-dipping now, since they probably have numerous customers buying in multiple formats). Maybe they brought the newest stuff in-house. Wait, never mind: i just looked at the acknowledgements and they list "partners", including a design firm.

Anyway, their full prices for individual desktop plugins/synths are reasonable, IMO, compared to much of this industry. The iOS versions are even less expensive.

Does anyone have an idea where ARP Odissey VST is installed on Windows? No option to install the plugin version in custom folder...very bad quality installer  :dog:

Hi are you on mac or pc?

I disagree about the sound league, but that is always personal taste, so won't try to argue that with you :-) (although it is quite/very possible I just never liked the odyssey as much as I liked the prophet 5, pro1).

But cpu wise, at least with MC on, on my mac Repro-1/5 has better asio load/cpu performance and on pc it is even worse....
curious to know what system you are on.

Yeah, I dunno, a decent Arp was a big bucket list item for me, I love its sound. But yeah, that's highly subjective, but it sounds very modern modelling to my ears.

Yeah, CPU it is a bit more than Repro, but it is definitely manageable, and again, I'm using it as a mono synth so it is a bit more than Repro-1 and less than Repro-5 for my system. Could it be optimized? I'm pretty sure it could, my guess is it doesn't make use of multiple cores so it can have the widest compatibility. And I again suggest everyone with any feedback let Korg know:

If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

^ I just put in a note to say basically I hope ARP ODYSSEY will be optimized. Mentioned my system etc.
