Hi,
I've been looking into working with DAW software over the past few months, Ive only actually known such a thing existed for a few months, but I've definitely got the bug now.
I've been playing about with free demos over the past weeks, including Mulab, and I must admit I like it very much, more so even than the big names in DAW software. I also like the fact that it seems to be less well known and underated, and having read the various forums etc. it seems to have a community that is passionate about it as a concept.
I have only one concern that is stopping me pulling the trigger, I play guitar and bass, and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with computers and software, other than the everyday tasks, I'm a true analogue guy, and all the jargon and things that others seem to intuitively know goes completely over my head, l am going to need spoon fed at the start. I can get Mulab to make sounds, whereas some of the other software was removed before a sound was made. The thing is though, if for example I punted for Ableton, I can actually do a spoon feed type course to at least get the basics, and not random YouTube videos that a lot of the stuff talked about means nothing to me.
I find the starting point of getting very basic things going with Mulab great, but worry about never getting much beyond that, whereas with a more daunting DAW with a few courses and a book or 2 it may end up getting me further in the long run.
So am I just worrying about something that may not be a problem? Thanks in advance.
Happy Christmas.

You can always ask - if you can put your question as clearly as your post above explains your current position, you'll likely get useful answers, too!
Most things are in the docs - but it's true that you need to know what you're looking at when you read them, so if you're not that familiar with the territory, it's going to be a bit daunting.
Basically, have a go. If it doesn't work, say what you wanted to achieve and what you've tried and you'll likely find people can sort you out here pretty fast.
Try out your planned work flow using the free version, too -- maybe that'll show one way or the other if it suits you. All the paid for functionality is there (just you trigger the soft hiss if you use restricted features - they still work, though).
