My guess is if they don't have it out for iOS yet, it probably isn't coming anytime soon.perpetual3 wrote:As one of the earliest KLC users, we’ve been asking that question for over ten years. Well that explains why mine was just a bunch of coupons for separate plugins. I never bought Mono/Poly until the iOS version (and it's quite good). Still want to know about their plans for Cell...perpetual3 wrote:sin night wrote:I upgraded to the full Legacy Collection from M1 LE, but I have the coupon for the Arp Odyssey Upgrade (it's on a separate page: I have two orange buttons in my user area, one for each coupon).Polarity wrote:I originally upgraded to the Legacy Collection from the M1Le, could be the reason of that?
I think you should contact Korg Support if your user area shows only the migration coupon.
There upgrade policy makes no sense - I only lack the M1 but get no coupon, and I bought the original legacy collection with controller, the Universal Binary upgrade (remember those?) and the Analog Edition 2007 upgrade.
I spent close to $400 on the legacy collection (I’ve also purchased all the Gadget stuff as well.
Yet, I don’t get any upgrades. I contacted support and their only response was “you must own all previous legacy collection plugins.

Regarding the vst vs iOS, this is the response I got from Korg, so I was wrong about it being any different. Which is a good thing I guess, makes me feel better about my iPad, and now I wonder if I can transfer presets between the two.
I also got a response about cpuYes, the sound engine is exactly the same between the iOS version and the plugin version. The only difference is the max voices as you said. We feel the recent iOS devices have good machine power. Thank you for your supports.
So, cpu usage is what it is, I'm ok with that, it sounds great and is a fun plugin to program. We'll see if they can optimize it but don't buy it hoping they will. The ARP ODYSSEY plugin models the original hardware analog circuits in the digital domain without compromise. Also, the plugin version is enable to polyphonic sounds and have the rich 6 effects. We will try to find points to be improved, but the sound quality must not be dropped. Thank you for your understanding.

I thought I read in this thread that cell is available...
Something about this whole process/upgrade schtick has put a bad taste in my mouth and I used to have a lot of respect for Korg.
Anyway, I’ll demo the ARP and see if it sounds substantially different from everything else to warrant a full price purchase. I’ve got to say the GUI puts me off, at least on the iPad, enough to make me only use it for flights and other on-the-go situations.

I like the GUI, excepting that it is already a bit small on my 1920x1080 screen, those on 4k will likely hate it. I sent this message and got the following response:
The mouse scroll wheel in most soft synths can be used to move knobs and sliders. In Odyssey Windows VST, it only can scroll the whole UI or change the Unison and Voices parameter. The parameters also don't allow text input to get exact values, nor the common shift-scroll to get fine tuned values as common on most newer soft synths. It is very hard if not impossible to get exact values you want using the current UI. Furthermore, the whole UI is not re-sizable, which will be a real problem when more people get 4k screens.
Please consider updating the plugin, these issue pose real usability concerns, and in the case of the GUI size, longevity and marketability of the plugin itself.

Hello,
So please, they ARE listening and responding to feedback, if you want a resizable GUI, mouse control of sliders, or anything else, send them a support query.Thank you for contacting us.
The mouse wheel action is prioritized to scroll the whole UI in ARP ODYSSEY because many sliders and switches in the UI. We will consider again this specification and also resizable UI. Thank you very much for your feedback.

I went ahead and added the Korg feedback/issues link in my sig, I think the more they hear from the community here, the better their plugins and system will eventually become.

After you migrate your account, if you have Legacy Cell associated with your account, it will be available in the following link:perpetual3 wrote:I thought I read in this thread that cell is available...

I guess you don't get a new installer since there is no new installer, I don't know how the DRM works for that or if there will be some issue in the future accessing it, but for now, it works.

In addition... at least for now. LegacyCell is also available for prior owners at korguser.net in your downloads area. Korg released the Mac version (1.3.1) of LegacyCell a few months ago (September 2017) - along with the other Legacy Collection titles... so it's a fairly recent build. Like the other Mac Legacy Collection titles, I think it was only a compatibility update. LegacyCell *does* work with the new versions of the Legacy Collection for now though..braj wrote:After you migrate your account, if you have Legacy Cell associated with your account, it will be available in the following link:perpetual3 wrote:I thought I read in this thread that cell is available...

I absolutely love the Odyssey iOS app. Sounds really, really great. Actually love all of the Korg iOS apps I own. They all sound wonderful.braj wrote:Regarding the vst vs iOS, this is the response I got from Korg, so I was wrong about it being any different. They've responded to everything I've submitted so far, that's definitely a good sign. If they get a hundred people saying 'this needs to be better optimized' they will likely listen, as 100x more will never submit that request.EnGee wrote:Great effort by youbraj wrote:I went ahead and added the Korg feedback/issues link in my sig, I think the more they hear from the community here, the better their plugins and system will eventually become.Thank you for all the explanations
I'm sure they are listening although that doesn't mean they will change something soon! But it's good for us they know that there is a strong following still for their plugs in the desktop world, so they might reconsider their new plans and put us as a priority market

Is there anything more to migration then the migration coupons? I’ve migrated all my synths and MDE-X and I actually don’t see any plugs in my registered products window and I don’t see any means to add a registered product.
