You need three plugs for the legacy cell to work: polysix, ms-20 and md-x effects.
I have ms-20 and polysix, so I bought the md-x effects for $10 then downloaded legacy cell from Korg usernet (the old site) as it has the new installer. Everything is working fine as I have my 64 bit plugs in c:\program files\vstplugins . Just make sure all the three installed before installing legacy cell.

Uh, forgot to ask: no 32-bit vst plugins with the new Korg ID updates? Just only 64 bit ones?
Are they kidding?
I had to keep the legacy 32 bit installed to go on using them (yep I still use Cubase in 32 bit version for compatibility and better stability...
I have VEPRO for 64bit plugins and bigger RAM use)

Hmmm. Did you EVER had a bundle that included MS-20 and Polysix and MDE-X, or did you bought all of them individually? Did you have Legacy Cell listed in your old profile - in Korg User Net?Polarity wrote: Actually also in my Korg ID a downloadable Legacy Cell is missing...
and I have MS-20 and Polysix reinstalled and authorized with the new system and listed with the other three synths (M1, WS and Mono/Poly).
MDE-X is missing on my side because it's not listed as registered in my User Net Account and I can't find a way to register it again without a lock code. So no migration coupon for it.
Maybe MDE-X is the problem happening to Jace-BeOS?
What's the User Net support mail address, please? I can't find it anywhere on User net pages?
Here is what is quoted on Korg User Net: "Please download the software are shown in the "Registered Software" at the right side. If you have MS-20/Polysix/MDE-X, you can download and use LegacyCell for free." So, this is pretty clear, IMO.
It's unbelievable the mess that exists in this. I had no idea about the panorama. Since I have these basically since they first appeared, and I had registered them since then. I never had the slightest problem - neither did I experienced any in this migration. I guess the problems are all related with people having bought individual licenses, which broke what was the original idea - and now, only Korg can solve this mess.

I had the same problem of already authorised plugin (mono/poly) in my desktop pc, so to get the the id number to register it before migrating it, I did install it in another computer (but did not register it from there, just to get the id number or whatever), then the plugin appeared and I could migrate it.

I never bought individual plugs - I bought the first, original KLC with the MS20 midi controller, then the Analog Edition 2007 update. Along the way, I paid for maintenance upgrades, like Universal Binary. Yet, I only had individual migration codes. So, the problem isn’t just with people who bought individual plugs. It’s actually because Korg only provides a bundle upgrade path if you bought or upgraded to the Special bundle, or otherwise own all of the plugins. If you did not upgrade to all the plugins at any point, you shattered the bundle, and lost the discount upgrade to ARP.fmr wrote:Hmmm. Which doesn’t make sense, because someone could have bought the total bundle recently on sale for $150 and qualified for the ARP, whereas those like me, who have spent $400 (in some cases, even more, and not including their iOS apps) have to pay full price for the arp upgrade.

Complain, complain, and complain some more to Korg, tell them how much you spent, and demand a code. Tell them about this thread even. Tell them people, not just you, are pissed about it.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Then, how come you have not MDE-X registered? And did you NEVER questioned that? BTW - Leave the iOS apps out of it. They belong to another universeperpetual3 wrote: I never bought individual plugs - I bought the first, original KLC with the MS20 midi controller...
I guess the problem is that you are not upgrading to ARP Odyssey - you are upgrading to the modern Korg Collection, which also includes M1 - which you don't have. So, you cannot "upgrade" something you don't have (I am trying to find a logic in all this mess).perpetual3 wrote: Which doesn’t make sense, because someone could have bought the total bundle recently on sale for $150 and qualified for the ARP, whereas those like me, who have spent $400 (in some cases, even more, and not including their iOS apps) have to pay full price for the arp upgrade.
The problem (I guess) resides in the fact that Korg neglected Korg Legacy Collection for a very long time, leading users to believe that it was basically dead. Then suddently, they decided to resurrect it - but in the meawhile, forgot to prevent the myriad of cases that exist out there. They should give several upgrade prices for people who don't have the entire Collection to upgrade to "Korg Collection" , since that's the product that now exists, AFAIK (there isn't a Korg Odyssey for sale individually, AFAIK - only an upgrade path for people that have the entire Collection minus Odyssey to get the complete product)

You have me confused with someone else - I have the MDE-X.fmr wrote:Then, how come you have not MDE-X registered? And did you NEVER questioned that? BTW - Leave the iOS apps out of it. I can't get to my DAW machine right now but I checked the Mac installer for the M1 and it still has 32-bit binaries. Maybe it's just the Windows ones?Polarity wrote:Uh, forgot to ask: no 32-bit vst plugins with the new Korg ID updates? Just only 64 bit ones?

Mono/Poly is where i stopped, but i did the same as you.fmr wrote:You are entitled to Legacy Cell as soon as you have both MS-20 and Polysix, since those two are the only ones that work with Legacy Cell. It has nothing to do with MonoPoly. I was asking about Legacy Cell in specific, and i did not have the Legacy Collection license coupon. I had coupons for individual plugins. Since i never bought the Mono/Poly, i no longer have what Korg considers the Collection product. So the question I'm asking is, does that also now mean i no longer have a license to Legacy Cell? If I DO, and it appears after registering the installed new downloads, then great. I'm planning to boot to El Capitan later today to find out, but I'm discussing it here with people who might have already dealt with exactly this scenario.fmr wrote:This has been answered several times. In my case, I have the complete Legacy Collection, since I bought the original Legacy Collection, then Legacy Digital, then MonoPoly.
Right.fmr wrote:But Legacy Cell came with the first bundle (which also included Wavestation, that's why it was called just Legacy Collection) although it didn't work with WS, just MS-20 and Polysix. When MonoPoly came out nothing changed.
After i got my five individual products registered, indeed Legacy Cell appeared on my Korg ID account. Sorry for missing this earlier in the thread. i saw Cell mentioned, but not in the context of having individual products like i have. This would possibly have been easier if i just had the Legacy Collection license, but without Mono/Poly...fmr wrote:I bought Odyssey, and that's the only one I installed so far (the others, I kept the old installation for now). However, since I already registered that one, and because the serial is for the current complete Korg Collection, I already have ALL OF THEM registered, and the downloads include Legacy Cell. I wrote this days ago (I guess it is on the first pages of the thread, before the psicodrama of the migration started).
i'm glad to see that Cell was also updated to 64-bit. i thought they'd skipped that back in [2013].

As MDE-X is used by Cell, it makes sense that it would also need to be registered. In fact, it's under MDE-X that the download for Cell is listed (once my products are all registered), so, there we go..?Polarity wrote:Actually also in my Korg ID a downloadable Legacy Cell is missing...fmr wrote: You are entitled to Legacy Cell as soon as you have both MS-20 and Polysix, since those two are the only ones that work with Legacy Cell. EDIT: Here is my first post about this matter: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=496920&p=6964386#p6964386 - maybe you should read the first pages of the thread, just before the psicodrama started. That's where some information was actually given. Then, people started whining, and pages and pages were filled that way.

The Mac Audio Units versions seem to still be 64 and 32 bit (the plugin file is a "fat binary" package and contains both versions), since Logic started in 32-bit on my system when i did all the registrations.Polarity wrote:Uh, forgot to ask: no 32-bit vst plugins with the new Korg ID updates? Fully agreed. i didn't realize that Odyssey wasn't available separately. Granted, upgrading to the new collection for $99 (the offer given me because of an M1LE upgrade offer) should give me both Mono/Poly and Odyssey, which are both normally $50, saving me $1 on the upgrade... ?? I would much rather be able to buy these two separately, on different occasions, since i'm poor and can only spend in smaller amounts.fmr wrote:The problem (I guess) resides in the fact that Korg neglected Korg Legacy Collection for a very long time, leading users to believe that it was basically dead.
