I wonder if the Odyssey is using the same analog emulation system as the rest of the Legacy products.
If i recall correctly, I remember a well known developer on here saying he chatted with the Korg Devs and that they mentioned that the MS20, Polysix, Mono/poly synthesizers all use a wavetable style oscillator system instead of a free-running generator to save on CPU. I wonder if they still use this ?
I'm assuming the that the Odyssey is pretty much identical soundwise to the app?

Having owned an Odyssey back in the late 70s and not being all that impressed with it then (can't believe I spent a grand for that thing) no, it's definitely not worth $50 to me.yellowmix wrote:You paid $100 for a bunch of 14 year old products on discount. $50 for a brand new synth is unreasonable?wagtunes wrote:I paid $100 for my KLC in 2014. I guess it was on sale.
I'm certainly not paying half of that for one plugin.
Psychologically, I get that's they're also sold as a bundle, but pretend it's an independent product. Is it worth $50 to you or not?

Nope, didn't own a Minimoog. Really wanted an Oberheim 4 voice. Now THAT was an amazing sounding instrument. But I couldn't afford 4 grand for a synth.V0RT3X wrote:Lemme guess you're a minimoog fan?wagtunes wrote:Having owned an Odyssey back in the late 70s and not being all that impressed with it then (can't believe I spent a grand for that thing) no, it's definitely not worth $50 to me.yellowmix wrote:You paid $100 for a bunch of 14 year old products on discount. $50 for a brand new synth is unreasonable?wagtunes wrote:I paid $100 for my KLC in 2014. Ah, yeah. That definitely would have been nice. As a guitarist who's used to watching youtube videos of gear that's my immediate thought when someone asks about seeing demos hahabraj wrote:I do think it is pretty obvious he wants a demo version to try in his DAW. They really should offer one.

Regarding Gadget Mac and the differences between that version and the full ones, I can't say for certain, but the iOS versions of the plugins are limited in what you can edit, Milpitas can't add resonance to the filter on presets, Lexington doesn't have the arp, I forget about the Wavestation one, and I don't own Mono/poly yet (edit: mostly it seems you don't get the kaoss pads onscreen). But they are limited in one respect or another, which makes them a bit disappointing to use in Gadget.

“Currently, we do not prepare anything other than upgrade from KORG Legacy Collection Special Bundle.
We received your request. Please understand that the current situation is not prepared.”

You can add them as a foe and hide their responses, but you can't outright block them. You have to use self discipline and ignore them. Use the force! It is up to you to police your own mind.perpetual3 wrote:

Time and energy is too precious to spend trying to ignore people in this context. I have to use it daily to ignore people I can’t avoid in the real world. But I get your point.braj wrote:You can add them as a foe and hide their responses, but you can't outright block them. You have to use self discipline and ignore them. Use the force! Not everyone gets along, but the conversations here would be even weirder if it seemed others were talking to ghosts.

I like it. Easy to pull out weird noises as well as more traditional sounds.
