Bug report, mostly. Maybe someone can help?
Win10, Focusrite 2x4
One annoying problem is when closing out a file after saving, using the "X" on the tab, I'll very often get an audio signal clicking away randomly, causing me to close the whole program down to get it to stop.
When there are multiple projects open and the tabs can no longer fit across the top of the screen, the program gets confused and starts saving renderings and new edits in other project folders.
I have an X-touch, which is supposed to be a clone of the Mackie MCU. The scribble strips have never functioned correctly, or at all.
Several problems with waveform, some that carry over from T7

the first problem with closing an edit looks like the audiodriver from focusrite is getting a hickup/crashes.
focusrite seems to have problems with its asiodriver on several daws, from what i read in other forums.
there were reports, that with the newest betadriver things work better. maybe try that?
i can't comment on the second issue, as i never have that much projects open at the same time.
if you don't really need it for your workflow, i would suggest to have only the ones open and active, that are worked one in parallel.
the rest is just taking resources for nothing.

This audio signal, is it like the sound of your edit being played back, but at high speed? I get something like this occasionally, on win10 with a focusrite interface.tamoore wrote:Bug report, mostly. Maybe someone can help?

If so, try turning off "generate edit previews" in settings. I'm not sure this 100% solves it, but it seems to help
Also, our of curiosity, are you saving the edits to a Dropbox folder, or any similar cloud syncing program folder?
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"
