Regarding the MS-20, the iPad version has a drum machine using MS-20's and a sequencer, and effects. I can't wait for that to all come to the VST version.

I have written in to ask them to continue with VST2 32bit support. The more that suggest it the better I guess. If you're interested, here's the link ...BONES wrote:Something that I don't think anyone has mentioned is that the new Collection is strictly 64 bit only, which is very limiting for me, I'm afraid. I was quite keen to upgrade but that's enough to stop me because I still use my 32 bit SE synths very heavily and Orion is an either/or proposition for 32/64 bit.
The other thing that puts me off is the lack of demo versions to try before I buy, especially in the context of high CPU use mentioned here.

I just run Reaper 32bit and added the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\KORG\KORG Legacy and could load all the old legacy synths. So, EvilDragon is right about the path and there is no need to complain about it, but not the new ARP Odyssey
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Yep, I thought about the Odyssey after posting, that is kind of a drag, but it isn't as bad as something someone bought 15 years ago losing that 32 bit support.EnGee wrote:I just highlighted itbraj wrote:EvilDragon wrote:32-bit plugins are still in there. Well I jumped right in and bought Arp Odyssey. I love the sound of this classic synth and it certainly has a growl to it!
In briefly comparing it to Oddity 2, I played a few similar sounds on each but no in-depth comparisons.
I prefer the delay in Oddity 2 and the ARP seems to lack some signal volume if using filter II & III over I?
I really like the patch 'Expressive Lead' in Oddity 2, which I just couldn't match in the ARP... Interesting?
Either the Oddity 2 sounds different (but very nice in this patch) to the original or the ARP is missing something...
I think that only an owner of the original could answer this one?

Oddity2 doesn't stop there either, in order to overcome the original instrument's limitation of a single LFO, we've also added the ability to apply an additional LFO and ADSR to almost any of the main Oddity2 sliders, which gives the instrument almost unrivalled versatility and depth when it comes to sound design options.
Additional improvements over its predecessor include an on-board delay, spread or random pan modes, patch morphing via beats or seconds, program change recognition and implementation of the two octave transpose switch for dynamic real-time performances

Remember with the Korg you can use the sequencer as an LFO or even a pseudo adsr of sorts to overcome the one LFO limit.

Anyways, I think the time of the 1:1 emulations has passed.
We know that we can do it; with the recent emulations (e.g.U-he) the differences are hardly worth mentioning.
This time reminds me of the time when in photography there was a strong debate between analog and digital sensors and what they can do. At one time, the discussion was over; digital could do what analog could. And then surpassed it...
I think with emulations we are in that very same situation.
Now, it's time to look beyond that. I think Arturia did it right with the DX7 V.
Allow users to have the same experience as with the hardware (1:1 emulation) but ALSO allow users to go beyond the limitations. If Korg did a 1:1 emulation (there is no demo so I can't check it out) than I think that Oddity2 did it better by adding more options. (Oddity1 was more a 1:1 emulation).

Well the Korg has the sequencer and polyphony, plus three filter types, it obviously isn't 1:1.

Arp Odyssey demo tune from Raymond Wave
Would certainly like more examples. Anyone like to demo the presets in a video?

Sadly i have no clue how to share patches across platforms because Korg made it a mess.
