t6 rewire/plugin problems

After 3 PC hard drive failures I kinda gave up on DAWs and have been using my Roland MC50 and Boss Dr-5. That got me going into new directions that only hardware can bring me. Real amps, mixer, hardware synths, rack fx, guitars, mics, pedals...I like my gear.

Anyway, Tracktion and all my old projects are fragmented all over my new HD and backup drives. I am trying to setup T6...but it will only recognize my IK, NI, and Tracktion plugins. It won't find any of my rewire synths even if I direct it to the plugins' .dll folders.

One of my favorite rewire devices is Sync Modular, which is from 2002.

I deactivated the rewire button in settings, then when I turned it back on I got a message saying tracktion could not find the rewire .dll

Kinda been flustered about all of this for quite some time now.

I been using tracktion for 6 years (since T4) and still can't figure out what is rewire, is it a kind plugin formart? i've seen references to rewire in some audio tools.

Rewire is for when you want a DAW like tracktion to play certain standalone vsts as a plugin.

So, is it a way to use a standalone program outside of the DAW as internal DAW vst? That's interesting

Did you tried to Drag the dll to the plugins section using the mouse? are you using the same architecture as your plugins? i mean 32 or 64 bit version of T6. Hope that helps

Yeah, I was running t6 64 bit...so I will try 32 bit and see if that fixes everything. Thanks.

Propellerheads' Reason is the most famous Rewire vst by the way.

The 32-bit thing was the issue...problem solved. I am back loving Sync Modular, but now I have to redo all my amplitube/sampletank stuff. With my PC graveyard getting full I may run out of licenses...oh well.
