Hey guys,
Is it possible to use for example Nora, kirnu(midi plugins) with Waveform?
If yes, How can I use one of them to control many vst synths at the same time?
thanks

Yes. Look at the rack filters. Use either a Midi Channel Splitter plugin, and put the synths inside the rack, all on the one track, or create a rack filter where the midi input is connected to midi output, and put that on the track with the midi on it, before any vst synths, then put the same rack filter on other tracks, with other synths after it. Depending on what you're trying to do.
You could use the Mono Pass thru rack filter present, instead of creating your own. You don't actually need the audio input connected to the audio output though, in that rack, for what you're doing.

This is for an older version of Tracktion, still relevant, but the gui may look slightly different ;
Look at Chapter 43, page 407 of the manual onwards. Rack filters seem to now be called "Plugin Racks". Lots of good info there.
This may also help - https://ask.audio/articles/getting-modu ... ects-racks

You want to create something like this. Create a new rack filter called "Midi Thru", and just link the midi input to the output (the greenish line at the top)
Put your Nora or Kirnu midi plugin on the track, put the first instance of Midi Thru after that, then whatever synth you want after that.
Add more tracks, with other instances of Midi Thru, and whatever other synth plugins you want to use. I've just used Sampler each time as a graphic example. This way, the midi from the plugin will get routed to each synth, on the three tracks. If you filter on the synths, so one gets the stuff on midi channel 1, next gets midi channel 2 etc, that may do what you want. If they can't do that, you might need to make the rack a bit more complicated, to make this work.
If you do this a lot, you can save the edit as a template, or the individual tracks as templates, to make this quicker to setup on new projects.

Alternatively, add the "MIDI channel Splitter" rack plugin preset to a track, after Nora or Kirnu, and add the synths you want, inside the rack. A bit like this. This will let you do the midi channel splitting inside the rack. It depends what you're trying to do.
Racks let you do a lot more than this, but you need to play with them a bit, to get a feel for how they work

I managed to try both ways, however with the midi splitter I could not link the midi channel 1 to both synths(only the first synth would play) and with Midi Thru it worked but if I mute the first track containing the rack filter then the second would not play anything.
Anyway I'm happy at the moment with midi through and I will explore the filter racks more because they are very very powerful.
In the present manual there are not racks, there is not Chapter 43 and page 407(the last page is 381) http://www.tracktion.com/wp/wp-content/ ... -guide.pdf
I found some YT videos which are useful but not a lot midi
thanks again!
last night I had a lot of fun!!

The latest version of the manual is v2.1, which definitely has those chapters. It might not be the version that's shipping with the latest version of Waveform, I think Bill updated it since that came out.
At the moment, you can get a copy off the Tracktion website, in the manuals section, here- https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals
Direct link to download it is this - https://da4okk3156q95.cloudfront.net/wp ... e-v2-1.pdf
I think the plan is to bundle the latest version of the manual with the main tracktion installer, in future. It used to be a third party thing, but is now an official manual for Tracktion
The "midi splitter rack" literally has a couple of "Midi Patch Bay" plugins in it which filter midi channel 1 to the first synth, and midi channel 2 to the second synth, that'll be why you couldn't get channel 1 to go to the second synth. If you don't need to do that, just delete those, inside the rack, and connect the greenish midi input on the left of the rack to the input of both synths, inside the rack. Hope that makes sense
