Actually we place the downloads in the secure account area so we can do useful/helpful things like update users when new builds are available and automate as much of the process as possible

The email news letter is a separate entity and can be opted out of - no nefarious activities going on :)

This doesn't make any sense. They only sell a handful of distinct products. What are they going to do, upsell you from trying the Waveform 9 beta to buying a copper interface?

I think it's great that they are doing a Beta for the upcoming version 9 release . I didn't get any email or spam , I just seen the Beta thing a day or two ago in this forum . I haven't fooled with the Beta because I'm.busy using another host at the moment but I'll keep an eye on this thread and release .

It's limited to current owners of Waveform I believe....Similar to what FL is doing with the current FL Studio beta.

New sampler is what I want to have, and more responsive gui is good, thanks!
Do you have any plans to add some support for dual monitors? Like full screen option, and changing width and height of the bottom panels or just undock them and drag to another monitor?

Hello, does new multi sampler really missing multiple outputs or internal fxs?
thanks

Multiple outputs will be in next build - 9.0.22

Effects are on the todo list, but running out of time. For you, which effects are must have for you in the first version? Chorus, Delay, Distortion, Reverb? More?

Installed it today and have done some tests. So far no crashes.
A question though: In the melody pattern generator, wasn't it added a special colour for scale tones, already in an update for W8? As I can see it, W9 beta looks just like the first version of W8 in this regard.

Regarding FX in the sampler - why do you need FX integrated in the sampler when you can add the FX downstream from discreet sampler outputs? This allows you to use any plugin effect you like - integrating FX seems redundant no?

I still see the two colours, however you won't see it by default since all the notes are muted and don't show their colours. I'll try and come up with an idea for muted notes to still show some colour.

FigBug: any developments in the midi pattern generator from w8 to w9 (apart from the chord track) I might have overseen (have asked in a comment in this topic before with some proposals) or at least anything planned for final version of w9 ?

There has been lots of things discussed/requested so I am a little disappointed if there will be no devellopment in this really important (and outstanding :tu: ) part of waveform.

If I use the paintbrush, they will be yellow. That's ok, I suppose, since these are all chord tones. But if I enter notes with the pen, they will get the color I chose in the palette, no matter if they are scale, chord, or other tones.

That is not cynicism, it is conspiracy theory nonsense.

This is the same as W8. I'll add automatic colouring with the pencil as a feature request.

We have some ideas but unfortunately we are running out of time. I can add the prev/next arrows for you fairly quickly. If you have any other quick ideas I'll try and sneak them in as well.

The biggest thing I want to do is preserve the melody the user has entered then the chord track or key changes, but it's tricky. If the user just toggles the existing notes on / off it shouldn't be too hard, but if they start adding notes, merging notes, moving notes etc, figuring out how to apply the new chord track to that can get tricky.

Random melody is another new feature.

If you can expand on how you'd like some of your ideas to work that would be good, like random rests.
