You were criticized for exactly that, can you be any more oblivious, he freaking knows that plenty of folks will get it when it goes 64 bit VST/AU/AAX or whatever, how many times and from how many different folks on same thread he needs to hear that same thing, how many same business/life coach advises he needs to get, he knows it, he acknowledged that he knows it, enough of the same BS.wagtunes wrote:I do find it puzzling though the use of the word "criticize." I haven't criticized Adam's work at all. I've acknowledged that the synth sounds great but unfortunately I can't use it. That's not a criticism. It's just a simple fact. When and if a 64 bit version comes out, I will definitely purchase it as long as it runs in my DAW without crashing.

I find it so incredibly amusing how easily I piss people off here.Zexila wrote:You were criticized for exactly that, can you be any more oblivious, he freaking knows that plenty of folks will get it when it goes 64 bit VST/AU/AAX or whatever, how many times and from how many different folks on same thread he needs to hear that same thing, how many same business/life coach advises he needs to get, he knows it, he acknowledged that he knows it, enough of the same BS.wagtunes wrote:I do find it puzzling though the use of the word "criticize." Hope you guys have plenty of blood pressure medicine.
I'm off to play some Legend Of Grimrock.

What i find rather incredible is how emotionally attached people get to developers who frequent this, or other forums, up to the point where they have to be defended against teh evilz of the internetz. It's an interesting psychological phenomenon, i think someone should make a study about it at some point.
For me it's rather a buy or not buy decision. Frankly, i don't know the dev personally, so, i can't feel any emotional attachment in a way that it would matter to me what i or others say about spending their money or not. And, of course it's also to make a point, and, of course Adam knows this all already. No need to "get your panties in a bunch" over it. Or claim that that would be a critic on his work. Actually, in my case, it's the opposite, because i think he did a great job with the synth, and i wished i could add it to my 64-bit setup.

That's the thing, it's freaking sad that you don't have zero compassion and just care about yourself walking over everyone that is there on that road, you just don't care, it's important you do whatever you want, without thinking about consequences or how other folks feel about it. Adam is not feeling good and making any more pressure/stepping on his toes will not make him better, but just worse, he put his life savings into this project, he is aware of anything you can say to him, give him a break already.wagtunes wrote:I find it so incredibly amusing how easily I piss people off here.

He is freaking human being, you defend developers and your point of view all the time, I'm sick of watching another human being suffer because of bunch of consumer egocentrics, give him a break already, he freaking knows your BS.chk071 wrote:What i find rather incredible is how emotionally attached people get to developers who frequent this, or other forums, up to the point where they have to be defended against teh evilz of the internetz. Seriously, relax. You're really overracting. He just released a synth, and he wants people to buy it. I won't ask any other developer if he had a bad day as well, when i buy a product from them. What he (Adam) does in his spare time, or how he feels at the moment is not my concern, and it shouldn't be my concern, because we're not best buddies. Of course he had a lot of work as of late, developing a plugin is a lot of work, and setting everything up to sell it as well. But, everything else is his "business", in the truest sense of the word. If he needs a break now, he should take it. Why would i care?

I know right.
Dunno, just felt sorry for the guy so much and started defending him, guess that's in human nature, I feel sorry for animals that get pushed around, guess I love other folks too, especially trance guys trying to make it in cruel world.

No worries.
It's not that i don't get that the whole 64-bit can be annoying, but, i only can speak for myself, i really don't want to push things. And i also understand the reasons why, and he stated those clearly. All good, he just won't see my money (yet).

That you think I have zero compassion from people is beyond ironic given the abuse that I've taken for 4 years in this place. But I guess compassion is a one way street around here, not that I care if people have or don't have compassion for me.Zexila wrote:That's the thing, it's freaking sad that you don't have zero compassion and just care about yourself walking over everyone that is there on that road, you just don't care, it's important you do whatever you want, without thinking about consequences or how other folks feel about it. I have to pay bills too. I have a family. I have property taxes to pay. Nobody cares and I don't expect them to care. I provide a provide that people can buy or not buy. Nobody owes me a living. Nobody cares that I've been out of work since 2000 due to illness. And that's fine. Nobody's supposed to care.
But I'm a weird sort of dude. I actually DO care about the dev. I hope his VST is a smashing success.
So, if you're now finished being a total douche, I'm going to go watch NCIS New Orleans.
That Vanessa Furlito is one foxy babe.
I'm outa here.

There are good ways to say things and there are bad ways. It's everyones own choice and responsibility which option they will choose. Way too often I see the bad way of saying things, and not only here in KVR, but all over the internet. It's a sad fact of modern life. Some guy's may be mommys boys at home while out on the interweb they turn off their smart part of the brain and live out their worst sides.
On topic! I bought Viper and I love the sounds it can produce. I am only on 64-bit but I had jp6k for some years and it never crashed or hang in bridged mode. I had Viper since the release and so far I didn't even had a glitch. I had more "famous" and expensive plugins crashing in bridged mode, so this is why I trust the work Adam put into Viper. Well done Adam! I look forward to the 64-bit version of JP6K as well
