Hi
Just purchased Waveform with Collective and BioTek.
At first the plugins worked well. Went on holiday, once back the two prime plug-ins are tiresome to work with.
Now... they take forever to open up in all DAWs. I've tried:
-reboot
-repair Windows 10 latest version
-reinstall Waveform / Collective / BioTek
-checked Device Manager, and no apparent conflicts
Has anyone experienced the same? Found a solution?

Not seeing this here. To get helpful replies, please post your system specs when reporting an issue.
What DAWs and how long exactly do the plugins take to open? Does this happen with a new project with just those plugins alone, or one that has other plugins and data involved?

Hi zzz00m
Thanks for reply.
It's Windows 10 Home, version 1709, OS Build 16299.192
I've had the same issue in (first time load / opening time):
- Tracktion Waveform 8 (latest update) (25sec / 16sec)
- FL Studio 12.5.1 (Latest update) ( 21sec / 20sec)
- Cubase 7 ( 27sec / 18sec )
- Magix Music Maker (latest update) ( 56sec / 46sec )
It happens when ever the plugins are involved. Fx load time in Tracktion Waveform 8 for a track takes very very long if BioTek and / or Collective are used.
It's too bad, as I upgraded Tracktion Waveform 8 to get and use BioTek.
Can add, the effects - which seems to have the same graphical appearance, works in all DAWs as intended.
If you require more information, don't hesitate to write.

I created a new project in Waveform 8.2.7 using just two tracks with one instance each of Biotek 1.6.5 and Collective 1.1.3 respectively.
The project opens in under 2 secs on my system.
A few things to consider:
>Where you store the sample content for these plugins. For highest performance a SSD disk drive would be best for any plugin that loads samples.
>Tasks running on your system in the background, such as AV scanners. They can slow down loading of sample files. If possible, use the scanner exclusion features to exclude your audio programs and content paths.
>Search info on using the clean boot options in Windows to temporarily eliminate any software tasks that may be running that could possibly be conflicting with your audio apps.

Hi Zzz00m
Thanks for reply.
I've tried almost most the tricks I know in the book, now.
I'm not a computer engineer, though.
- Stopped virus checker
- Changed virus checker
- Reinstalled Windows 10 (keeping all apps and data)
- Checked for what I see as strange things in my upstart
!! Would add, about 1 month ago Windows 10 made an update which made BioTek useable - Collective is still a complete hanger.
All the best,
Jakob

I think Wolfram addressed this in a recent beta. Can you grab it and see if the situation has improved? https://marketplace.tracktion.com/shop/ ... collective
