I have the same problem. :help:

Post

I've found (and fixed) the issue mentioned, as well as improving stability for multiple instances :phew:. Latest release can be found in the same location.

Thank you great job on this! The Wheel/MIDI parameters src1 and src2 are not loading their values for me. For example in the BIGTONE bank I can pick a (mw) preset and comparing to the original Synth1 plugin and the Librarian, I can see the values are not loaded (nor function as a result).

I'm using Reaper 5.7, x64. Win 7
I read the installation instructions and because I already had Synth1 installed, I did not run the initsettings.exe for Synth1 installation.

Post

Thanks. I'll try to look at the MIDI/Wheel issue over the weekend. The latest version of the Librarian takes care of the missing settings in the Synth1 INI file. initsettings.exe is more of a belt-and-braces thing.

I've got a crazy idea, but as Synth1 Librarian is some kind of VST wrapper, I guess it WOULD be possible to create a custom GUI that is used to control the Synth1 parameters? I mean, I think most people would appreciate a GUI update of Synth1. Not that I'm asking you to do this, but it would be possible, right?

Yep, entirely possible.

Oh, thank you! It's very cool.

The latest release fixes the Wheel/MIDI functionality, as well as improving Patch imports.
If you have a Library database already built, you'll need to rebuild it to capture the correct Wheel/MIDI values. Download location remains the same.

Enjoy :)

Thank you neutrino.sky! :tu:

Great, thanks very much for the fix!

Hmm, looks like it's choking with one of your zip/patch files. Try this:
1) Create a temp folder somewhere
2) Copy, say, 10 zip files into that folder (doesn't matter which files)
3) Tell Synth1 Librarian to use the temp folder, instead of your real zipbank folder
4) Build the library

If those patches import correctly, keep trying the other zip files in similar way. Eventually you'll find the zip file that causes the problem.
If it doesn't work, PM me, and we'll try to work it out.

neutrino.sky wrote:I don't know why Reaper shows all of the extra DLL files, but the one you want is Synth1.Librarian.64.
I think Reaper is showing ALL dll files in the vst plugin folder.
But there are ways to hide those extra dll's.

EDIT: Does NOT show all the extra dll's on my system (Reaper32/Win7).

Questions:

1) Does it only import the zip banks, not the normal banks?

2) To categurize patches only the patch name is used?
