Have you tried to disable dc filter that may cause some issue

Let's go back to MDrummer for a bit..... I see no reason that it can't be used as a sampler. I see it as a specialized super-sampler actually. Doesn't it do exactly what the OP is looking for?
Load own samples..... check
Need 127 velocity layers? .....check
Does it have a mixer?.......check
Access to tons of effects? .....check
...and more.
So, why not Mdrummer?

From my original post:
re: MDrummer But anyway, there's no modulation sub-system in MDrummer, and that's what i really want to make use of for samples.
For example, put a reverb on a drum sound, then gate it using an envelope in the mob sub system. And trigger that via midi.

Try as i might, i can't get a sample to sound closer then about 95% of the original. although by EQing it you can get to 98%.Apratim wrote:Have you tried to disable dc filter that may cause some issue
Not a big issue, just kinda weird.
EDIT: try loading up a vocal sample, then you'll hear how much it changes the sound, it's very obvious. Lo-fi and grainy. On drums with lots of noise it's less obvious. Not a problem, it's not designed as a traditional sampler. But it's nice to know what exactly are the limitations. For drum sound mangling it could be very useful.
So PLEASE Mr Melda could we have a clean sample player module at some point in the future?

Vojtec has already answered that there will be no sampler or sampleplayer module for MXXX as it cannot contain everything possibly imaginable.
It has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum there will be sampling within MYYY, but that will take unknown amounts of time. He mentioned MYYY might but just might be loaded into MXXX, will be exciting to see what the future will bring.

Got it. Just indicating that MuLab has an integrated modular environment which flows together very nicely. Surely understand your point about Melda's mod system, oh yeah.vectorwarrior wrote:Oh I'm actually good for samplers, I have Kontakt, etc... I'd just love to see this built into Melda's line as I love their modulation tools and have some ideas I want to build in MXXX.

This is from the manual: If you read it carefully, it says what it is.Mr D wrote:Try as i might, i can't get a sample to sound closer then about 95% of the original. although by EQing it you can get to 98%.
"Custom sample panel contains parameters of the custom sample that you can load and mix with the other sources. Do NOT confuse this with a sampler, the custom sample is taken as one period of the waveform. It can be used for creative effects and it can be used to import a custom waveform. The custom sample is then stored with limited precision within the settings, so the sample does not need to be kept on the system, but note that these settings may be quite large. To limit the space required by the settings, the sample is stored only if the depth is not 0%, meaning only if the sample is actually used."
This is likely designed to help arrive at interesting waveforms for special FX or modulators. "The custom sample is then stored with limited precision"
Would be great to hear from Vojtech about it.

Hard to say, the development hasn't even started yet... There will be a trial of course.

Why can't you just use the MDrummer module inside MXXX? As of version 12 it's in there.Mr D wrote: I'm aware of MDrummer, but can you load in your own samples? But anyway, there's no modulation sub-system in MDrummer, and that's what i really want to make use of for samples.
Of course i could use another sampler then use MXXX for processing, but maybe there's a way for Melda to also trigger samples "in house"?
Thanks! ........D

This is mostly achievable with MSoundFactory (available as a module in MXXX). You can modulate the start and end points of the loop. Very fun for granular effectsFaiky wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2019 10:10 am What is missing is a sampler with variable start and end points, different loop possibilities like tx16wx.
I hope there will be good offers to upgrade from MXXX to MYYY.
