HI

BERLIN - Lou Reed, I was given this for my 16th (?)birthday back in 76 and kinda got the drift of it, which probably didn't do me any favors; what with puberty an all, but I came through  .

I know I have got a negative edge, that’s why I sharpen all the others a lot.

Cake, Prolonging the Magic.

Things like Jesus Christ Superstar, Pantera and Skazi have helped me as well, though.
I just have to love it, sing and/or dance to it and crank it up real loud!

Cheers (up), Jo :)

Larks Tongues in Aspic by King Crimson

the (instrumental) track Larks Tongues in Aspic (pt ii) I always found to be particulary good at getting me into a heightened atate of emotion.. If I was in a good mood, I felt better, a bad mood, I got really depressed.

Infact the live version on USA was really good too.

Either that, or Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall.

Or, go buy some Dean Friedman, and cheer up!

Oddly, that is how I feel whenever I watch "Eraserhead"

At uni The Stone Rose's 'I Am The Resurrection' (especially the 2nd half) could me straight for 8 mins. Most of NIN' stuff and JM&C's 'Honey's Dead' always put me in a good place as well.
OOOOOOOOOOH ye! Gonna switch off "Automatic" and put on the Roses!

I bought the "Big Issue" yesterday (magazine sold on streets by homeless folk (for non-UK readers)) cos it had Ian Brown on the cover. He says he only got his first royalty cheque for the Roses in 2002!!!!!!!!!!!

He's uber-cool.
