One would indeed be a bit limited, doesn't even seem to have a sine wave. The target selector is also a bit limited.
Maybe there is some deep edit mode under the hood 8)

I think it should be closer to Deepmind money than REV2 money, although the digital side is interesting, and they have at least thrown some polyphony at it.

where are you getting your prices ? 8 voice model and 16 voice model ...

cheers

$1499
$1999

Agree on that. The price is really a big too high especially given fact it does only have 1 LFO. Despite the fact that Prologue has some really cool features and sound, id rather pick Prophet for the given price.
I think the basic tone (filter) is ok. Not amazing, but good enough. The really nice sounds appear to be the ones drenched in FX (which I'm not bothered about, it's all part of the sound design process) and I haven't seen a video yet with the digital stuff isolated and explained.

But it's just too much money for what it is.

Andertons (UK) have it listed at £1299/£1739, which is more or less the same as the respective REV2 models.

Funny that people find those prices high. It is hardware after all, and compare the price with Oberheims etc. The SEM Pro is about $1200, and only monophonic.

Not even remotely close to being in the same league.

But at the end of the day much more useful and effective

Well...if talking about usefulness and how effective you can say the same about Deepmind, Prophet Rev2 when comparing to Oberheim. THe same way you can compare Minilogue to Moog Model D.

And in the end of the day Virus Ti2 Desktop wins because it offers 16 multitimbral, can sound analogue and have hypersaw

That's like saying an orange is juicier than a banana.

A Volvo is more useful than a Caterham.

I know it is. Well done for missing the point entirely. Which is not that he was wrong, rather that the comparison isn't relevant to the question of price.

Of course I get the point you're trying to make, I'm just pointing out that you're doing a bad job of it. Well done for missing that entirely :hihi:

I bet we both have better things to do.

Either way, I would not mind having it :hihi:
Some of the sounds on their site are nice, the Logue Pad for instance.
