tubiLeSax and pitchbend

not sure if this has been discussed but this great little plug will only pitch bend up.

why is that??

when used with a guitar or wind controller it will not track right unless pitch bend is turned off and that's just wrong.

any chance of this being rectified in next update??

On a real Saxophone you can bend a note up, but not down, that´s it. TubiLeSax prevents a "wrong" authenticity, that´s good!

But wait, there´s an exception: Some skilled Sax players are able to bend down a note with a special breath technique. The famous Foreigner sax player is one who is able to make it.

thanks for answering "why". i figured it was deliberate, but having the option to pitchbend down in v2 will be very useful.

i play sax and wind synth and yes, you can bend a note down because when you bite on the reed, it bends into a neutral pitch position. so if you are playing and loosen up your embouchure, you can bend down.

i've been dying for some physically modelled vsti's. it's the only reason that i still take my yamaha VL70m to gigs; nothing else even comes close to emulating wind instruments...such a shame...

for physically modelled vsti's of winds, yamaha got the rights on the good models

actually, yamaha was licensing the technology from, i think, MIT. the reason for no more synths based on the technology is [possibly] the loss of that license which sucks because it sound unbelievable and as a vst would be mind blowing...has DASH investigated physical modelling?

Liqih certainly has done some physical modelling; HarpTime, for example, and a couple of the other synths have hybrid engines that incorporate PM...
