Hi folks,
Does anyone else feel the OSC1 unison could use some improving?
I've trying to re-make some Massive patches in MPowerSynth (for practice), and the unison just doesn't seem that wide compared to insanely wide unison (that's possible) in Massive.
The "Widening" control in the unison section just seems to be a standard M/S widener, where's as the Massive spreader really seems to make each individual voice wider.
Massive has these controls in the widening section:
Pitch cut-off
Wavetable Position
Pan Position
And it seems that it's the combination of these that induces the crazed unison wideness possible in Massive.
Thoughts?

I agree with this. More options could be added the unison feature in MPS. I would like to see the wave position added and more pan and filter options.

I believe that the widening knob in the unison merely functions as a mid/side modulation. What you should do is go to FX and add Mstereospread or Mstereogenerator and then you can make your unison so much wider. And if you only want OSC1 to go wide and not any additional osc's then add another PowerSynth to the FX rack and do the other stuff there without it going through the stereo fx. Hope this helps and good luck.
