Yep. Externalized reverb was one of the goals I had in mind, not just wide along two axes which can already be done by messing with stereo width.DJErmac wrote: I couldn't be more in love with the plugin at the moment ! When the spacialise mode is engaged you instantly get a huge reverb sound that sounds supermassive on drums ! I LOVE THIS !

Just seen the notification of the new Zephyr reverb - Is it related to the Zyphire algorithm in Muze?
I'm a little confused between the difference in Muze and Zephyr as they both seem to be binaural reverb VSTs - Is it that Muze deals with the XY plane, and Zephyr the XZ plane ?

The two plugins are actually different architectures. The new Zephyr plugin is a spatializer computed in the Ambisonics domain which supports both binaural and surround type outputs. You get more control over how reflections and spatial reverb distributions evolve. The trade-off however is the loss of localization accuracy, especially with the direct sound-source and less so with early reflections. i.e. sounds less directional than Muze, but more customizable for the purposes of say "fitting to the shape of a physical space".mcbpete wrote:Just seen the notification of the new Zephyr reverb - Is it related to the Zyphire algorithm in Muze?

Zyphire is a custom reverb under the Muze architecture which was designed to emphasize externalization of sound-sources, especially at different elevations (Bordering on hyper-spatialized). Early reflections is present in Muze but less customizable. The 8 reverbs in that plugin are meant to exagerate interesting sounding ways reflections evolve into dense tails.
Both plugins cover the same 360 degree space. Zephyr handles depth better than Muze in terms of sounding physically right. Muze handles direction better than Zephyr.
