You mean overlaying pitch and level? I'm afraid I don't think that will happen, structurally there will probably be only one envelope in each module and then you have units and finally you have the fact that the video you posted is about percussive stuff, while MYYY will be mainly designed for sustained stuff.

I just meant overlay any two (or more) envelopes, so you can see on the same grid how they line up / compare.
Doesn't only apply to percussive stuff, you might also want to compare two envelope modulations on the same grid for an evolving pad sound.
Maybe just give each envelope a button that displays it on some master grid? With each envelope having a different colour?
Another (maybe better?) option would be a view mode with envelope "lanes", the same way any DAW lets you view (or hide) many tracks at the same time. So in this mode, when you zoom on the X axis, all envelopes zoom in sync. (like in a DAW the tracks zoom in sync on the X axis).
This was actually implemented already in Absynth, for modulation / envelopes, see here:
(PS, don't feel like you need to reply, you're a busy man, just shooting out some ideas!)

Even if sustained stuff, it's necessary and useful.MeldaProduction wrote:You mean overlaying pitch and level? Zebra2 is excellent example.

Dude, that's not possible in Zebra2, is it? (envelope overlays?)buing wrote: Even if sustained stuff, it's necessary and useful.

You may check MSEG.
Envelope and MSEG are haves same purpose basically.
And also Serum is good example too.

I think you're misunderstanding, i'm talking about visual overlay, so you see two different envelopes in the same grid.
Or in linked (on the X axis zoom) lanes, as described above.

Yes, visual overlay.Mr D wrote:I think you're misunderstanding, i'm talking about visual overlay, so you see two different envelopes in the same grid.

I didn't misunderstood, and it's possible on Zebra2, like this. Is Zebra2 possible overlay view or not isn't my bottom-line.
Because I want to say - I totally agree with your suggestion.
Adjust sync between some modulations are important needless to say.
Let's talk about Image-Lige Sytrus -
I can say Sytrus is good FM synthesizer, but it haves bit of bad workflow.
Because some of important envelopes didn't overlays on editer.
If I want to sync between modulators, I must check each modulators, It takes lot of clicks, and inconvenient.
Let's check modulators.
Volume envelope of OP1.. click.. click.. click... okay!
And next envelope! click.. click.. click.. okay!
And next.. click.. click..![]()
If difficult develop overlay view, FM8 is perfect alternative too.
On 'Env' page of FM8, user can check all modulations on one screen.
While I've created synth presets over thousands,
I was inconvenient usability, and it comes interface in most case. (It just my experience)
I can write on A4 paper closely why overlay view is necessary but I can't do that 'cause of my poor English.

Ok, I understand. But no promises here. If MYYY is modular as I imagine it will, there won't be multiple envelopes in one module, probably. But perhaps the global per-voice envelopes... we'll see, I don't have the concept ready in my head yet
