I read somewhere that Everyplugin.com has it around 37$ with the current Waves code applied.
Thanks folks!

I recommend reading a bit on the fxpansion geist2 forum first.
It seems the product has been somewhat neglected in terms of updates and bug fixes since the fusion of companies.
That being said, there has been a recent "public beta" update release 2 weeks ago.

I am a Geist2 user myself, and am still undecided whether to keep getting into it or change elsewhere.

Phrase the question differently: is there anything you desparately want to do with your current setup that does not work, but Geist2 will definitely enable you to do that?
wholeheartedly agree! Geist1 was very good, but I don't feel that Geist 2 is a great improvement, and FXpansion seems prone to abandon products.

It is not on sale very often, is it? I would be jumping on this if I hadn't just bought the Hammersmith Pro. I need this like a need a hole in my head. Or like SoundsbyLaura needs more ethnic winds....

Augh! Have to think about this.... :borg: :help:
VI Labs did a Black Friday sale of 30% off Ravenscroft 275 but this 50% off sale beats that. If you’re interested in it at all you probably won’t see a much better price
Thanks! Sometimes at 50% it is hard to tell if it is a good deal or not.

There is this new intelligent sound goodarizer eq whose announcement is currently slightly hidden at the NAMM news section:

http://www.kvraudio.com/news/soundtheor ... 2018-40103

It comes with a early access price of $99 instead of $199. I have been playing around with the demo a bit and this thing absolutely blows my mind. Could be that I am easily impressed but if you like Soothe or Frei:raum, you should definitely try this out.

If it’s anything like Soothe or frei:raum, could be quite interesting.

Didn’t work for me either. Maybe it’s account specific.

The Ravenscroft piano is really an amazing piano. The half-price deal is already really great, and on top of that, there's a 20$ credit added to use in the Audio Plugin Deals shop. For me, that put this deal in no-brainer territory.
Yeah, forgot about that.
Practically another 20% off :tu:

Think I'll probably pass, think I can do most of what I want to do in Ableton and, to be honest, I have more than enough software to get my head around at the moment. Seem to remember that when I had less stuff, I either had to figure out a way to do what I wanted with what I had or do something else instead. Think the amount of time potentially saved for music making will be lost in trying to get to grips with the thing. Think Drum Racks look a lot easier to get my head around.

Seems to be Mac only.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

I think it is generated per account - mine differs in 8 out of 10 digits.

dandezebra wrote:Is this needed if one owns FabFilter L1 or L2?
Needed is such a relative term. Fabfilter L2 is from December, Xenon is almost 10 years old. I have Fabfilter L2 which I use in pretty much any limiting situation. Still picked up Xenon. It has a really loyal following it seems, and at 25-ish bucks there is not much that can go wrong.
I was in the same boat, Pro-L2 is superb, I particularly like the new 'modern' style and the metering is so clear but Xenon is also great and surprisingly easy to use. In the end I bought it so I could stop demoing it and get back to something productive and it does sound slightly different. It's like having another style on L2. Do you need it with L2? No.
Pro-L 2 wins hands down. Xenon to me belongs to the same cathegory as Boz Digital The Wall, etc.: either you save transients, or the midrange (in order to preserve some mix openness).
I tested Pro-L 2 against about 10 different limiters, the new TDR Limiter 6 included. It's a beast, especially with oversampling (which sounds a lot better than L1). It keeps the whole mix there. So you better learn how to deliver serious mixes, LOL!

The only problem with the extra $20 is that you can only lower a deal to the original deal price. So really, it is only useful if you missed a deal. I usually grab them if I'm interested. On the other hand, if I let this one go, I have enough credits right now to pretty much get the sale price if I change my mind in the future. Well, still thinking.

Have you looked in the shop? There are many items that were not available before, so you can save credits to buy new stuff at a low price.
