Minor bugs, feature request and question re: MUX purchase

Hi
First of all I would like to say that MuLab is brilliant.... thank you for an amazing program!
I have spotted a couple of minor bugs which I thought I should report:
1. MuSynth. Setting layers. I cannot change layers when synth is set to monophonic. If I switch back to 2 (or more) note polyphony then I can change and switch back to mono which is now working correctly.
2. In version 7-2-23 there was an oscillator bug fixed re: resetting multi-layers outside a polysynth. I think the same needs to be done for the multi-form oscillator?
I currently use Reaper as a live tool by switching between song regions (midi note trigger) which then automatically loop. I would like to use MuLab in a similar way and have experimented with the sequence player and step sequencer but it all get messy and complicated. I think I have seen a forum feature request for song "regions" in Mulab and wondered if this was coming anytime soon?
I would like to buy MUX VST (while I still need Reaper) and was just wondering whether I should wait until version 8... as I don't really want to pay out twice for version 7 and then the version 8 upgrade!!
Thanks again for a wonderful piece of software
Paul

OK, try this.
Start MuLab 64 full version, New Project
Drag MuSynth from browser and replace over Basic Synth
Open MuSynth and reduce polyphony to monophonic
Now press quick selection button to right of "Layers" and select "Rich Fifths". There is no change. Increase polyphony and immediately the layer change kicks in. Go back to monophonic and all is good.
I am running on Windows 10 64 bit
Cheers

Well I just did exactly as you said and it still works as it should, I,m on win 7 so whether it is something specific to that I dont know, or maybe its something more specific to your pc setup.

Just checked again and first time it worked correctly... then got stuck not being able to change in mono mode again. It would seem to be an intermittent thing? I am on vers 7.7.4

Panic over. The layer doesn't switch until the VCA has finished its envelope. I had a long release set and this gave the impression that nothing was happening between notes. If I am patient and wait for the envelope to end (or set release to zero) then the layer switches exactly as it should. Sorry chaps!

Can't answer that question yet but something like that definitely is on the wishlist.smithoid wrote:I think I have seen a forum feature request for song "regions" in Mulab and wondered if this was coming anytime soon?
I cannot yet tell when MUX 8 will be released and when a possible grace period would start.I would like to buy MUX VST (while I still need Reaper) and was just wondering whether I should wait until version 8... as I don't really want to pay out twice for version 7 and then the version 8 upgrade!!
Anyway i always try to set a gentle upgrade path and a reasonable grace period.
So i hope you find trust and you feel free to go for MUX 7!
