OK, thanks for the info.Trancit wrote:This is a bug, which will be fixed in the next beta I guessdandezebra wrote:Another strange bug possibly. If I detach my mixer and move it to another monitor, it is having issues displaying the correct Effect in the list.
If I add Tantra to Mixer Channel 3 and then decide to change it to Quadrant, the mixer still shows Tantra. If I click Tantra, Quadrant will come up. The only way to fix is to replace Tantra with none before adding quadrant. Granted, I usually do the latter way if I am actually writing and mixing but if I am just screwing around, it is kind of a pain.
Anyone else seeing this?

I don't get all the hassle with the pattern clips being intuitive ..here's how I did it since fl 4 .
Go directly to song mode , a blanck slate
Insert some patterns ( one for each instrument you want to use )
pattern 1 = bass
pattern 2 = pad
pattern 3 = drums
ettc...
Adjust legnth of patterns to taste ..et voila .
It's verry easy to just approach it as a linear sequencer / use a pattern just as a container for 1 instrument
I hope image line doesn't mess to much with the original approach just be'cause some people can't get out off the pattern loop
In the old days ( fl 3 ) it was much harder , a pattern was always the size fof 1 block/square ..even if the pattern was 4 bars long...you inserted the ( 1 unit ) block and had to leave 3 empty spaces in order for the pattern to play till the end ( 4 bars ) .

I would take that as the universe telling me it's a waste of time...

That worked to get me to the forum but when I tried to go to the Mac Beta forum, it asked me to log in. So I did. Then it gave me a "server not found" message. (On an iPhone just this moment; was on Mac Safari when I last posted)jancivil wrote:https://forum.image-line.com/

This is different from the "too many redirects" I was getting just trying to get to the forum at all.
So, still... WTH?

The guy who does community contact at Image Line right here in this forum, responded to my initial inquiry about problems accessing the forum by saying "you'll figure it out" or something to that effect.tooneba wrote:Create support ticket? You can contact admin.

I assume you are eligible to create support ticket to admin if you have an account in which you registered FL. What happened when you tried? What kind of solution did they give to you? No one can understand your intention if you don't fully disclose your detailed issue.

My intention? To access the damn forum and get the Mac OS beta. Fully disclose my issue? Look at my posts here in this thread! I can't access their forum! For all I can tell, their web server is broken. If it's fine for everyone else, well, what could the problem be? It doesn't look like a DNS issue in my region, but even if it is, how do I even confirm that?tooneba wrote:I assume you are eligible to create support ticket to admin if you have an account in which you registered FL. As for opening a ticket with Image Line, yeah, guess I could do that. Will I get blown off again like I was right here by the Image Line employee? I don't even know why I was blown off here.

So just for the hell of it, I used an Incognito Window and followed your same process. Go to forum.image-line.com, click on the Mac forum, Log-In. And I got an error saying that the site can't be reached, and the domain's IP address can't be found!
But I looked at the address bar, and noticed that it was directing to "https://forum_domain/viewforum.php?f=1965" which is obviously not correct. However, if I then went to https://forum.image-line.com after I logged in, I could then access the Mac forum.
So try going to Image-Line's main website, Log In, and then try to go to the forums. Maybe that will work.

Thank you!! So it's not just me! This is the only part of the forum I've so far been able to access, but what you described above happens.AJYoung wrote:So just for the hell of it, I used an Incognito Window and followed your same process. Yup, I've tried that. I tried, again just now from my iPhone, to get to the main forum, via the link in your message above. That's where I get "too many redirects occurred" failures. If I try to get at it through their main website, while logged into my account, the same thing occurs.AJYoung wrote:However, if I then went to https://forum.image-line.com after I logged in, I could then access the Mac forum.

What is the redirect? I mean, the main forum page does what upon visiting it? Why is there any kind of redirect at all? I suspect they might have some broken mobile sensing script. But when I visited on desktop Safari, I get the forum, and the broken link you experienced above. I had logged in when I got that error. Maybe the site failed to refresh my status??
Thanks for trying to help me figure this out!

Hopefully you get a more helpful response from IL soon.

On desktop, it's still doing the whole "too many redirects occurred" thing. That means my suspicion about a broken mobile page redirector is incorrect (unless it is so badly configured that it's detecting desktop Mac OS Safari as mobile). So again: what the hell is it redirecting to and for what reason?
When i try to go to the forum from the Image Line main page, the same thing happens (yes, logged-in to my account). So, no change. Actually, it's worse than the last time i tried. At least last time i could get to the forum once (only to be blocked by the broken Mac Beta forum link once i got there, as repeated by AJYoung above).
