I think it's well worth the price particularly when it's on the 50% off sale. As well as being able to reference against other tracks, you can also use it to validate your plugin chain when mixing so the loudness isn't affecting our judgement, similar to what the perception plugin does. I used to use it for that but that task for me has been replaced by the plugins Hornet made which are great value for money and do the job just as well.Tappistry wrote:Thinking about picking up Melda MCompare. Seems to be a heavy hitter in terms of features for mastering comparison. Anything else similar/better worth investigating?

I chose tb audio's AB_LM over mcompare bc you can compare chains of plugins on the same track–essential for me. Can't on MC. MC is great at what it does, though. I use magic a/b for reference filesTappistry wrote:Thinking about picking up Melda MCompare. Seems to be a heavy hitter in terms of features for mastering comparison. Are you referring to the CLMS plugin?greenfly wrote:I think it's well worth the price particularly when it's on the 50% off sale. Ive posted a Melda 20% voucher here a few times, wierd that no ones using it.
(I see in my account whenever it gets used)
I honestly gain nothing as I have the complete bundle so get lifetime free updates and any new plugins free.
I never buy at full price and neither should you
It might even work towards the subscription cost, who knows
Use it on any of the already discounted plugins and get them even cheaper

So, Febs trackspark is out - no plugin at all this time.
FM8 Power Pack by PluginGuru - FM8 patches (TS blurb says "New inspiring patches" - pluginguru's site says these were made in 09)
Podolski MixBag library by Patch Hut - more patches, this time for u-he's free podolski synth.
Taster by Touch Loops - a taster of their commercial offering (can already download this type of stuff for free from their site)
Sidechaining Your Reverb tutorial by Rich Lewis - link to a YT video
"a whole load of amazing live drums & loops"

Does not work on subscription cost, understandably but unfortunately.VariKusBrainZ wrote:It might even work towards the subscription cost, who knows
