I haven't had the time to play all patches although from what I have heard, perhaps 50, 75 of them, this is simply like having a new synth, and a very nice one at that. I have other Diva soundsets which I will not name here since this is not about comparing, each one has their merits. These sounds though, are crafted in such a way that a sound interplays with what seems to be several components that dynamically interact between each other. I realize I do not have the proper wording to describe the uniqueness of these sound sets. Goes to say that with a different approach a synth can be almost re-invented. At least this is what I find. Practically the sounds are evolving from the careful crafting of slight dissonance in conjunction with modulation which produces another kind of depth. There's depth from contrasting octaves for instance, like having an OSC2 lower in range, and then there's depth made by having components changing through time, exercizing the sonic link between them.
UPDATE: I found that many of these sounds, due to their complexity, are best rendered using the multicore option. At least on the machine I use. Which causes no problem.
Of course, it also boils down to what kind of music and productions you are making. For me, with a tendancy of mixing acoustic sounds with synths (see the piece '123' in the signature below), the evolving pads, of which they are numerous in this offering, are simply great to provide rich textures and atmospheres. This is a sound set that will provide lots of opportunities for such use. Well done !

Good to hear you're liking the sounds mevla
A lot of time went into making those sounds interesting to the ear , even after playing them hundreds of times . I love patches that feel as though they have no beginning or end , that are in a constant state of flux .

This is an excellent way of describing them. This is what makes these soundsets unique IMHO.brick wrote:I love patches that feel as though they have no beginning or end , that are in a constant state of flux .

Bought the art of sound and introspective a while back and you instantly became one of my favorite sound designers. Amazing work. Is there any crossover between this and the older presets?

Do you mean they have NKS versions available to download or just that because they are tagged they can be exported as NKS versions?

The Introspective set got morphed into Director's Cut. There are about 50 new presets in there.
The Art Of Sound set got turned into Original Score. About 50 sounds were taken out.
The Greatest Hits is mostly new sounds. There are about 10 sounds from the original Introspective set in there.
Extra Extra is all the sounds that got made when all the Diva sets were redone, that I didnt want to throw out.
There is an upgrade to the Total Diva set if you've already bought any of the Diva sets in the past.
