this preset in mfreeform eq is for those people who want a falt response from their samson SR850(sorry i currently owe this headphone only)
i would recommend to use equalizer apo
https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/
to put the vst in it and use the eq for listening to flat sounds all the time (latency may vary in your system)

I don't use those headphones but I wanted to say thanks for the heads up about the equalizer APO! I've been looking for a way to strap vst's to the windows output, this could be very useful!!

As an example, if this thing supports 5.1 Windows output, I could easily make a bass management system in MXXX, with lots of handy controls that would easily replace an expensive hardware unit.
Maybe melda could investigate making a similar Windows output wrapper for their plugs, it would be a pretty great way to promote their products.

pink noise +a low note saw with a LP filter on it to fill the lower frequencies properly at 8X sampling rate from mpowersynth and 4x sampling at freeform eq otherwise the low frequencies response were totally awfuljmg8 wrote:I guess you used pink noise as the target? there were some gain reduction caused so i didnt use that method
if i am not wrong it was off around -6db(i may be wrong) bit it was surely having level issues

Thing is though at 0% smoothing (like in your picture) you are following the randomness of the pink noise. you can use some smoothing to fix it.
However the most accurate way to do it would be to draw a straight line with 0% smoothing. If it is causing a reduction in gain you can just compensate with the gain parameter or try playing with the range when matching.
Anyway I would actually do the whole thing differently.
1. Download a demo of some software that fixes the frequency response of headphones (like sonar works for example)
2. Place MConvolution before and after it.
3. Set the convolution (after) to "record" (in advanced settings)
4. Select your headphones in the software.
5. Set the convolution (before) to "test tone"
6. Done! now you have an impulse response of the headphone correction (remember to have Dry/Wet set to 100%).
7. Save it as the model of your headphones and then repeat this for all the headphones and share with us all! he he.

but i think linear phase response will sound a lot different while using the above method
