Don't think i'll ever understand why one would compare something like Live Suite to Reaper. Reaper doesn't come with ANY sample, or other content. It's merely the DAW, and a couple of plugins. I don't know any other DAW which does the same. Hence i don't see the point in a comparison. Just a quickie!
I originally bought Live 9 EDU.
I have now upgraded to Live 10 and my account just says Live 10 upgrade (no mention of EDU anymore).
Am i right in thinking that I now have the full suite?

Considering Steinberg and Presonus also sell hardware, they could sell the software for less if they wanted to, in fact it often is, 30% to even 50% off the usual pricing with offers they do.. These's aren't small companies or developers... Bitwig doesn't have a hardware division like these two so it's more reliant on outside investment... but really it comes down to what the software product delivers in the segment of the market they are pricing their software at. If Reaper wasn't a nightmare and had a GUI development overhaul, was presented in a professional packaged way, then it may well be worth the comparative cost of other daws on the market like Cubase and Studio One... but I just don't see that happening.bundoo wrote:

I'm rather disappointed on the font rendering on 1920x1200 @ 100%, Win10. It's a bit too small, and very poorly antialiased. It's obviously made to be used @ 200%, where it looks smooth and clean. It starts to look decent at 150%.

sorry if i wasn't clear:
you can't upgrade an edu license to another edu license
so if you upgraded to standard it is the full version of standard
if you upgraded to suite it is the full suite...
