It's just those 5, but of course you're still able to adjust the brightness/color/saturation, these are a lot easier to tweak from.

I guess we'll just skim over Wavetable and Echo... :hihi:

Looking good and clean.

I usually prefer the darker skins, but with Live 10 I found I prefer the Mid Dark one, but with lower Brightness (80 to 90 %). And some Hue to taste.
The new skin file format is XML (or so I've been told), can be edited with simple text editor.

I have a question.
There's a pack called 'guitar and bass'. Is that the same one as the other pack guitar and bass that was in 9 or is it a new addition ? It comes up as 'not yet downloaded' in my account but I've already got one with that name in 9.

I think I probably will cave soon just because I want the workflow enhancements.

If you are able to hold off I would definitely wait for it, since it won't be long 'til you can buy a Standard license in the Buy&Sell Forum for $200 American, plus you save whatever you can sell your 9 license for. There will also be sales in the Ableton Shop I'm sure :)

As far as I can tell it's the same one. Downloaded all the new packs from the browser today, and I still just have the same Guitar & Bass pack from L9. The not yet downloaded list has been wildly inaccurate at best in my experience.

Live 10 looks very nice, clean and detailed on my 4K monitor now, but I miss white Frost theme :? Just now it feels different.

High-DPI scaling can be enabled for each plugins separately. Scalable plugins stay as they are, while some legacy or just tiny plugins can be upscaled.

However, there is some issue significant for me - all plugin windows get snapped to teh edge of the screen just like regular Windows windows, which makes plugin management pretty much impossible.

Category browser is a great idea - everything in one place regardless or how folders are organized on disk.

Other that that, I didn't do much of actual music yesterday.

Can you clarify "each plugin separately" thing please? As i said i am testing zoom factor and High-DPI and i have various problems.

Cheers

Have problem.
It doesn't install packs on the correct drive. Select F:Ableton packs and F: Ableton user library and it installs them on my C drive.

still the bit tweaked def8 is the nicest, sry

£159 for upgrading from live 9....ok but is it worth it?...what are the highlights
live 11 / Arturia collection / many Softube plug ins / thats it

The new devices seem very nice and the improved max integration is a great improvement.

My issue is that if you’re an intro or standard user what you’re getting is a handful of workflow improvements. I concede that they are good ones but a lot of them should have been there years ago. No extra devices or LFOs etc without max.

17 years since 2001 release and we finally get...drum roll please...automation snap to grid. Can anyone think of another DAW that doesn’t have this basic feature?! It’s a bit of an anticlimax.

It’s a VERY long time coming for some this stuff and expensive upgrade if that’s all you’re getting. But better late than never.

Not much I am afraid. Most of the new content is for Suite users only, the rest gets some UI/workflow improvements and that's basically it. I am definitely not spending 179 Euros to upgrade my standard license. I will wait for a sale I guess..

Reckon Fruity might be a better option?

I'd agree, have suite so upgraded to that version and really like a lot of the improvements, new instruments and fx, and content but wouldn't be that interested without.
