I've found that almost any VST that comes with an installer can be a real pain in the ass, like the ones that insist on installing into a folder named "vstplugins" no matter what, so when you choose a subfolder to install into, it creates another "vstplugins" under that subfolder! Thanks!
Then there are the ones that don't tell you that they will be creating their own subfolder so you get "vstplugins/subfolder/subfolder/vst.dll" - gotta love that one.
Oh, but the best are the ones that get confused when you don't choose the default path they give you and add an extra folder called "dummypath" to the end. What's up with that?
But they are all better than an installer that wipes out your vstplugins folder without warning.
It might help Tracktion and Cubase to load quicker, though. Maybe I'll give it a try!
