Suggestion for new Repro feature: 8 button quick patches

OK, so the front panel of the Prophet 5 has 8 memory buttons. I suggest incorporating that UI to enable a quick performance patch browser, something that lets you load up a bank of 8 patches linked to the buttons, which would be midi assignable, so you could easily set up footswitches etc. for the program changes. Maybe make it so a knob/slider/mod wheel could also sweep through those 8 patches, so you could create complex instruments that you can sculpt like a 3D figure. Anyhow, I think it would be great, I hope I communicated the idea ok. It would make the instrument more like the real thing in just having those quick controls available, more a full emulation of playing a prophet, I think.

I think given how easy it is to save a few presets in your own bank of 8 and then make that your default bank, or save 8 presets in your daw, I doubt it’s something that will be worth development time and screen real estate.

...or use the MIDI Programs folders, and just send MIDI program change messages to correspond to those patches.

That would be cool too.electro wrote:Another idea. It might be CPU taxing for Repro-5. but Waldorf 3.V has 8 stereo outputs for getting different patches from one instance.
