Repro-5 Multithreading issue?

I just finally got around to installing Repro1/5 on my main studio machine.. it's also installed on my laptop that I travel with.
My studio machine is a bit older, but is a quad core i7. I've never had it glitch out under load. Laptop is a newer dual core i7. Both using Reaper.
On my laptop - there seems to be no issue whatsoever, but on my desktop I can consistently make Repro 5 glitch out. What's odd is that the overall CPU use is still low, but ONE of the 8 logicals is getting very high (see attachment).
Is there a setting that will help this?

That one core is probably your main audio rendering thread (RT CPU use in Reaper's performance meter).

This maybe?
Whether or not it's better to have it on depends on your host.
