Best option right now seems to be to add the aupreset folder to Places then favourite the subfolders for particular plugins such as Sinevibes stuff.

Multi-clip editing turned out to be a major breakthrough for me. Finally I can actually compose stuff across multiple instruments, as in this video:
Guess many DAWs had it for years, but that's something I've been missing.

Ableton Support has confirmed it's a bug they're tracking - a fix is planned for a future beta but not the one they just released.aMUSEd wrote:Ah I wondered if it was a bug but didn't really use them before. I have found if I add them to Places they do load OK but just not where they should be.
However, I've found that aupresets saved into my User Library preset folders do also turn up in under the Plug-In folders, so there may be some internal tagging going on that doesn't happen for factory aupresets. However, this doesn't happen for those presets I've added to Places outside the User Library.

Does sort of make sense, otherwise you'd be getting a free ride.Jax Pok wrote:Dam Ableton beta just died Going to be two weeks before I have the upgrade moolah.

Live still has one of the most unattractive GUIs in any DAW I've ever used. I think it's time for an interface update.

Please don‘t! I played around with pretty much any DAW on the market and the Live GUI is the only one I can tolerate for an extended period of time.Russell Grand wrote:Live still has one of the most unattractive GUIs in any DAW I've ever used. I think it's time for an interface update.

I respectfully Disagree. I actually love Live's minimalist GUI. It is very easy on the eyes for me.Russell Grand wrote:Live still has one of the most unattractive GUIs in any DAW I've ever used. I think it's time for an interface update.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

I agree, it's very simple and to the point, and the new font/colors make it even nicer to use, but UIs are one of those things that you're never going to get everyone to agree on... There's no such thing as a good UI or a bad UI, there may be UIs that appear to be badly thought out, but inevitably, somewhere, there's going to be someone who finds it intuitive.Spencer Maddox wrote:I respectfully Disagree. A majority of Live users, myself included, disagree with you completely. So don't expect a change anytime soon.

I'm not wild about the Live 10 interface - but that's because I much prefer Live 8's.Russell Grand wrote:Live still has one of the most unattractive GUIs in any DAW I've ever used. I think it's time for an interface update.

Can I also just point out that it's been approximately a week since v10 was released with a refreshed, vectorized gui?Russell Grand wrote:Live still has one of the most unattractive GUIs in any DAW I've ever used. I think it's time for an interface update.
