I own Slicy Drummer and since Traction does not support MFX I use either Cakewalk Plasma (free from CM), or I a demo of Sonar to host and then pipe the midi output into T via Midi Yoke. Well for some strange reason the timing is out and it seems to be randomly dropping beats or something :? Since it's happened with both Plasma and Sonar could it be the midi yoke? Is there a better solution that will work in XP?

And before you say anything about DR008, I'm too cheep to buy it :P Or should I poor?

MIDIYoke could well be the problem.

There are issues with Yoke ad XP as well, but I;'m not sure whethetr they are relevant to what you are doing.

There are alteratives to MIDIYoke.

Try googling for XP + midiyoke -- at least some ogf the links you get back will be talkign about comptibility and list alternatives.

Thanks for the advice :) but I just tested it by using Reason instead of Tracktion, and there were no issues with the timing :?

Very weird.

try Maple Midi - http://www.marblesound.com/Maple_driver.html

I actually like these drivers better than Yoke. The install is clean, and they work great with XP. Dunno if they will resolve your problem tho...

Well I tried Maple and got the same result :? very strange. Musiclab will be releasing a VSTi version of Slicy/Fillin drummer before the end of the year I think so I'll just hold out till then.

Are there any other Slicy users out there that use it in a similar way? I'd love to know if it's just me or not.
