Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I had to sit behind the console and mix a concert.

As I recently bought a UMC404HD, I decided to put to the test in live situation.. and this is what happened:

I sent an unique sum mix signal from the digital console to the audio interface through a xlr standard cable and the audio interface was connected to my laptop through an usb cable.

Everything was running fine on Tracktion, it was receiving the signal in the first channel through Asio4All driver, as I could see the meter react.

I did some recording tests to check the quality and everything was ok.

The channel was armed for recording, the concert started, the recording started normally putting out the wave....

Now, this is what happened next:

At about 23 minutes later, the daw was still receiving the signal, the channel was still armed, the recording button still on.... the marker still moving but the wave was gone...... (till the end of the venue)

I looked at it and thought that after a certain time of continuous recording, it goes in a sort of "stealth" mode and didn't do anything as I had still to mix the concert.

My surprise came at the end when I hit the stop button... the channel was empty.

Now, I knew that it would automatically save the takes, so I checked the archive folder and that's where I found my previous test takes and a single recording of about 23 minutes long pertaining to the concert, instead of 1h30.

My laptop is a Dell e6220 i5-2520 4Gb RAM Win 7 64 Bits with a 320 Gb HD. It has more than 300 Gb free.

Could possibly someone tell me what went wrong?

Other than that, I find Tracktion really awesome and intuitive, more than cubase or Ableton Live.

Many thanks in advance for your time and help.
