Is it stable? I don't use synths or loops much what else has improved?
Chord track looks cool, but I think EZKeys does basically the same thing.
Is there a monitor section to use ARC 2 in? It's a pain having it on the Master Bus.

So far it seems my, and the general consensus here, is that it is probably the most stable (best?) Tracktion possibly to date. There's videos that show what's new, or you can dig through this forum. I don't believe there's a master/monitor section in the mixer - that's still the master bus section (I'd love it if the master was on the mixer and treated like any other channel, myself).

Should you upgrade? Well. Yes, of course - support the developers!

But will you derive enough value from it based on the cost/features? Sounds like you have more research to do. And maybe even try the trial version?

Several people reported even as beta W9 was the most stable version they had used.
At the bottom of this page there a list of new to W9 features.

Compared to upgrade pricing on other DAWs I'd say the $50 they're asking makes it a no brainer.
Contribute your hard earned $50 to the cause and keep Tracktion rolling on. You'll be admired by your peers who will write and record songs (probably in Waveform 9) about your brave and selfless act. Yes you should upgrade because newer is always better and everyone should give in to GAS every now and then.

Hi,

In the manual, in the what's new section there is this:

"New built-in circuit modeled plugins for rack design: Diode Clipper, Voltage Divider, Low-
pass Filter, High-pass Filter, Triod CCT Amplifier"

Can't find these anywhere!

The analog modeling circuits will be released soon - they are very cool - just waiting on getting enough of them done before we roll the feature out

Those that purchase the new W9 Ultimate bundle will get free upgrades to Biotek 2 - plus an additional drum pack - and even an extra treat, yet to be released.....

I would be the first in line to upgrade, but... the issue with Slate Trigger 2 still persists. Both say they are working on it and that was years ago. I tried the W9 demo with hopes it was resolved, but alas... its not.

That upgrade is not a cheap one.

I paid to upgrade to 8, it was a pile of ... that crashed and hung all the time and barely worked.

lets test free trial of w9 linux... drop collective in.. hard hangs. yep. saaame old bugs from w8 still here.

think I will hold on to my money.
