Can Waveform 9 use different plugin paths to Waveform 8 32 bit?

I still have a few 32 bit plugins I like to use and was wondering if I could just keep Waveform 32 bit on my system just for that, but I want it to show only the plugins that exist in just 32 bit format and not clutter it with plugins that exist as 64 bit too. I have seperate folders for 32 and 64 bit for this but currently all versions of Waveform share the same paths, is there a way to seperate them?

Yes but there are lots of 64 bit plugins that are also 32 bit so I don't want those, just the ones that are only 32 bit which I have kept separately.

Looks this is catered for and you shouldn't have a problem. The lists of plug-ins that the 32-bit and 64-bit versions remember are held separately. I've been putting both versions on my PC since T5. When I check the plug-ins (under Settings) that the 64-bit W8 knows about, many of them have 64 somewhere in the name. When I look at the ones the 32-bit W8 knows about they're different and a few have x86 in the name. The only times there'll be any confusion is when you scan for plug-ins as it does appear that the list of folders for it to check is the same for each version, so it'll check and then reject the other ones.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

The folder selection list in the plugin scanner appears to be the same for both versions of Waveform.
If you don't wish to see plugins that are duplicated in the other format, you can uncheck those plugins in the respective version of Waveform. See 'Settings > Plugins', and in the 'show' column uncheck any that you don't want to see in the plugin menu. I keep my VST2 and VST3 plugs sorted that way.
If that doesn't work for you, then you could always submit a feature request to split the folders selection lists in the plugin scanner so that each version of Waveform utilizes its own respective folder list. I don't really understand why it is set up the way it is either.

OK thanks - it seems to work if I drag/drop plugins in rather than set scan paths

Isn't it a lot less hassle just to get jBridge? You'll only end up halfway through recording something, using a 32 bit plugin, and decide you want to use a 64 bit plugin on another track, or vice versa, and have to bounce to audio to switch between the versions. Which you won't be able to do, because you can't open v9 projects in v8.

Ah, okay. Fair play. I dunno what your options there are. There maybe is something, but no idea if it's any good or not
