Hi,

I would blame this mainly on the movement vst from output (cause it crashes mulab and with freestyle it freezes the whole pc :x , support ticket already mailed) but I think might be good to mention here:

- when I try to load the vst I just get an empty frame with just transparent/black in it but no movement gui to be seen

After the crashes in other vst mentioned above while just try to register it I had the idea to just try T7 which works with some VST that dont work in WF. And it worked, I could open it, register it but now same problem with registered VST in WF9:

Was the version you tried in T7 also the 64-bit one? Or was that the 32-bit version of the plugin?

Any news on this ? I know you are busy on lot of constructions sites after this big new version but any hint would be really appreciated (for example if you see any chance that you might find a solution).

After I installed W9 on a Win10-64 system this weekend the first project I opened had a instance of Output Movement. W9 closed immediately saying OM was not compatible and a Windows dialog box popped up saying W9 needed a newer Microsoft open net framework version. Windows installed it and W9/OM ran smoothly.

I also noticed that when OM installed there is a VST3 file and .dll file in C: Program Files/Common Files/VST3/Output. When W8 scanned for new plugins it added two listings of OM to the plug-in list. Both are seen as VST3s and both work. Any ideas about this?

Steve, have you any possibility to check this on a win 7 64 bit system ? The problem is that as you can see in the screen above I only got this "empty" frame image, no messages, nothing.

Or anyone else maybe tried on win 64 with working/non working results ?

I would really love to get this working in my environment.

O.k., thanks, dbRowAudio would have a look on it so maybe the info that it works with the additional driver on win 10 might help showing the direction of the problem.

After a few days it looks like Movement behaves really badly with T9 under Win10-64. It winds up causing the computer to crash. I added two instances of it to a song and at first it was great. I didn't any other new plugins but after a few days when I would click on it to open it the hand cursor would freeze for about 30 seconds before the GUI would come up. When I tried to playback the song from the beginning the cpu meter would overload. If I tried to start playback even 1/2 beat into the song it was ok. I decided to delete it and the system crashed.

Yes, this seems to be the same problem I have on win 7 64 bit with a much older system and only 8 gb ram instantly. So it might have something to do with a system bottleneck somewhere.

Really hope dBrowAudio will have a look into it.

While nothing seems to happen from Tracktion site I had same problem in Freestyle and it did not take long for them to figure out the cause of the problem.

And as in waveform it crashes/freezes PC at the same moment in both programs (while trying to update database and tries to show movement window) I would assume could be similiar problem: it seems to have to do with generating thumbnails of the scanned plugs. I got a "thumbnail-creation-free" version from the devs of Freestyle and this one works without problem. Even inside Freestyle in Waveform when I switch off the automatic vst scanning.

So maybe......

Hi there, could you let me know a little more about "Freestyle"? I've not heard of it before?
Are you saying that loading "Output: Movement" in the "Freestyle" app also has a missing interface?

It could be due to the window thumbnailing, that gets triggered after 2 seconds though, does the UI appear at all before going blank?
That would be odd though, it's only system calls to get a snapshot of the plugin window.

If this is happening in multiple host apps, have you reported the problem to "Output"? They might be able to tell us why the UI isn't appearing?

Hi,

Freestyle is a multi VST that hosts other VST (Instruments, Effects), in terms of Tracktion might be the easiest to say its a "rack" you can use in all daw and has a standalone version too. (there is some stuff about it here in kvrforum)

When waveform tries to update the vst-database it opens the movement window and then freezes the pc. Was the same problem with Freestyle, then I got a "non-thumbnail-creation" version from Freestyle develloper where I could load movement and work with it without problem, so in Freestyle that seems to be the point ant thats why I assumed might be in Waveform too.
have you reported the problem to "Output"
Answer in short: "the host is not supported"

Additional problem in actual waveform 9.0.37: it seems that the turning off for "automatically check for new or updated plugins" in settings/file locations dont work. So I have to disable movement file (I added TEMP to the dll-ending) manual evrytime I open Waveform cause it crashes evrytime while waveform tries to update the database even if its turned off.

EDIT: Freestyle is by newsonicarts and thats the name he uses here in the forum "newsonicarts" if you want to pm
