the Ozone O8N2 bundle
upgrade from the Music Production Bundle: $ 149

https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-o8n2-bu ... grade-mpb2

the Ozone 8 Music Production Suite
crossgrade from ANY SINGLE adv. product: $ 299

This means, just for paying $ 150 more, you get in addition to the Ozone 8 adv. and Neutron 8, the following WITHOUT INVESTING PREVIOUSLY TO THE MUSIC PRODUCTION BUNDLE:

RX 6 Standard

VocalSynth

Nectar 2 Production Suite

Trash 2 Expanded

Over $1900 in music production tools

Includes 34 individual plug-ins

https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-music-p ... y-advanced

This is, once again, the real "f_ _ck yourself loyal customer" -policy...
I think O8N2 was created for customers who already own or don't want the other things. A surprisingly large number of people buy it, I guess because it's exactly what they want and nothing they don't want, regardless of how much better a bargain Music Production Suite might be.
Nothing wrong with the good price of the Music Production Suite.
But the core here is, that the upgrade price spcially for the MPB owners is for the "wrong" product, its for the O8N2, when it should be for the MPS. This leaves RX 6 Standard and VocalSynth out for the MPB owners, who already have paid for many of the products, including maybe the RX suite.
Of course this not because of the JRR Shop, but perhaps the dealer can give to the developer some feedback. :?

How often Plugin Alliance is offering a voucher? Each month?

Post

Yup. But maybe things will be different from now on, with the PickPack and stuff...

My gripe with iZotope would be this weird upgrade thing of not acknowledging what you have. There should be an upgrade to MPB2 from O8N2, but there isn't. At the time I bought O8N2 because it was on sale, and within my price range, thinking I would be offered an upgrade that wasn't generic at some point, but nope.

They are going the NI route a bit. The best way to get from O8N2 to MPS2 is to do a crossgrade from an advanced product and then resell either O8 or N2.

why not use the 349$ to MPS option from a standard product. I believe this is the cheapest atm?

so my question: i have a reason limited serial lying around here. is it worth it to upgrade to full for $99? even if i'm using another main DAW and did someone mention yet, how long the sale is on?

and third most important question: is it true that i can register reason only to 1 computer at a time and having to deauthorize eg. when moving to the studio or using it on the laptop?

Edit: it seems in v8 it warned you 3 times if you'd logged in from 2 pcs at the same time. at the third strike account was disabled?
I hope it's not like that today, this is horrible.

I might be interested in iZotope Ozone 8 Advanced - sales everywhere at the moment - but am (also) a bit lost in all the upgrades and sale options. It seems that https://plugindiscounts.com/product/izo ... -advanced/ is the cheapest (€240 after conversion). Another one beneath 300 is available at https://reverb.com/. All the others are above as far as I can tell. But is it really the cheapest option? Maybe buying 2nd hand and upgrading results in an even better price?

How come btw that previous / older Ozone versions had a retail price of $999 while Ozone 8 is 'only' $499 > ?

Questions, questions

It ends March 31.

Maybe there should be a sticky of "Companies with bad upgrade policies". Heh.
I was grappling with similar offers for quite a few companies, but with *some* companies it could be that they are in need of generating revenue especially for products where sales are stagnant. Those very sales might be just what keeps the support and development going (or maybe the lights on). Not saying that'll bring you piece of mind for having paid more, but for as many companies that have gone away (folded, bought out, disappeared), maybe it will.

Technically, I don’t there’s a way to have an Upgrade from O8N2 because it’s delivered as 2 separate licenses. It isn’t delivered as a single license the way Music Production Suite is. iZotope might be able to offer an Upgrade from any 2 Advanced, I’ll ask them.

On their site it says it ends March 15, or does that just end for the $480 of included plugins (and what are those anyways)?

On the registration question, it looks like you can run it on as many machines as you own, as long as you don't sign in with two at once. I'm not sure how an Ignition Key plays into this though..

Their US distributor says it ends April 1.

Hi Eric,

Do you have a list of the actual ($480 worth of) plugins that are being included in this promotion?

Thanks,
G
