Not sure what was going on here but over the weekend I was recording some vocal tracks. When the singers came back into the control room to listen to the pklayback I applied a couple of DX plugins (via the adaptor thingy) to the tracks. All went well until I went away from that track to work on another track then the plugins all disappeared from the track I had just been working on. The wrapper was still showing in Tracktion but the plugins inside the wrapper had gone.
Any ideas?
Subsequently I rebooted the PC and all seems now to be okay - after I reapplied the filters and saved the edit. But what gives? I've never known this to happen before.
Cheers
Graham

The only thing that I can think of is if you left the edit without saving............oh hell .........you said the wrapper was still there so that couldn't be it......what wrapper was it?

I'm not at my DAW but the freebie one which allows you to place up to 4 plugins in it. I found out about it through this forum before I actually bought Tracktion so I guess most people are using the same one. I've used it ever since I've had Tracktion (over 12 months now) and it's never displayed this behaviour before.

If it's FFX4, you have to save the rack as a separate step before leaving or you lose it all. At least, that's what worked on my end.

I'm not sure that the problem is quite like that because previously saved edits with the wrapper and plugins were fine. I had loaded up some edits of other tracks I had been working on and they were fine and as I had saved them. However on doing a bit more work on them (without touching the wrappers and plugins) and saving them again the plugins inside the wrappers disappeared. Really weird!!
Anyway all seems to be working fine now and it is not exhibiting those problems any more since I rebooted. I even did a virus scan just in case but nothing there.
Thanks
