StepClip usability

hello,

still in W8 - wonder if that got improved in W9.
Trying to work with 13 channels in a 32 steps clip is not that user friendly.
How about standard usability features like when mouse is over a step highlight the column and row (same for when pressing the mouse button - inserting an event)
Of course alternating row colours might help.

Any improvements in this direction would be helpful IMHO.
