OK, seems like we need some troubleshooting:zanshin777 wrote:From the steps you've mentioned;
1) OK
2) OK. (Now I double clicked an instrument "of which name is "Time of the Season" and it's loaded.)
3) When I choose Kontakt 5 from the rack instruments it automatically created a MIDI track which is "Kontakt 5". (VST Instruments section at the right pane)
Right after loading the instrument, expose the keyboard in Kontakt and click in any key. Do you hear a sound? If yes, then Kontakt is correctly loaded, configured, and sounding.
Let's troubleshoot again. Select the MIDI object that you just imported (it becomes dark/black) and in the MIDI menu select "Open List Editor". Now, Cubase opens the Event List editor, which looks like a spreadsheet, with several columns and many rows of values.zanshin777 wrote: 4) I choose one of the imported MIDI Tracks from Guitar PRO which is "Guitar 1"
I choose
Output Routing = 01. Kontakt 5 - MIDI In (It doesn't say name of the instrument which is "Time of the "Season")
One of the columns is titled 2Channel". In that columns is the value 1, or another one?
You should not have a VST Instrument MIDI Track labeled Kontakt 5, but a regular MIDI track. And you should just record enable one MIDI track (although nothing prevents you from having more than one enabled).zanshin777 wrote: 5) I choose "Record Enable" for both
a) Guitar PRO Imported MIDI Track "Guitar 1"
b) VST Instrument MIDI Track "Kontakt 5"
Anyway, and since you didn't clarify that part yet, do you have any kind of MIDI keyboard connected to your system? If yes, which MIDI interface are you using?
It seems you are not using Cubase Pro, therefore, the menus may differ. But there has to be something like Studio Setup. Look for it in the Help. It's something like this: https://steinberg.help/cubase_elements_ ... io%2Csetupzanshin777 wrote: !!! 6) No! There is no sound while it plays!
7) On the most extreme right below
a) MIDI In Activity : Active (Blue lines are moving)
b) Audio Activity : Active (Blue lines are moving)
!!! I couldn't find "Studio - Studio Setup" ?
Anyway, there is something else that I want you to try. Instead of importing MIDI tracks into an open project, I want you to go to the menu "File" and choose "Import > MIDI file". When Cubase asks you if you to create a new project or add to existing project choose "Create". Select the MIDI sequence where is the Guitar pro track you mentioned.
Cubase will now automatically add a rack instrument loaded with HALion Sonic SE, which will play all the MIDI tracks. Hit Play. All tracks should play. You can now solo just the track you want (the Guitar PRO track). You can also check to see in which channels it is effectively playing.
And you can then add Kontakt as a second Rack instrument, load sounds in it, and change one or more of the MIDI tracks that are playing in HALion Socie SE to Kontakt. I think this is the best way to check things and also for you to learn how things work inside Cubase.
