@Mr Melda,

Just a little bump on this, any chance to make it possible to delete all hardwire midi mappings?

Or at least get a list of them?

Post

Ha, I missed this one. Sorry I don't have time to read all the conversations. What exactly do you mean?

I think that this summarise the issue:
  • CC#7 and #10 control the Global Volume and Panorama.
  • There may be others too.
  • They seem to be hard-wired (coded).
  • They are not listed in the "Map" and "MIDI settings/Controllers".
  • They should be listed there so that they can be removed (that would work for backwards compatibility).

Well, they are hardwired in MPS indeed. The question is, why would someone want to disable that? Well, I guess there's always someone :). I'll think about it.

This: I have several midi controllers around my studio. They all have one midi knob or slider that's sending out CC7. I use this to control my monitoring volume via the control panel of my soundcard (RME HDSP 9652 Hammerfall). The main output of the RME is hardwired to CC7 and can't be changed (sound familiar haha!? :dog: )

Hehe got it ;)

Thanks Mr Melda, this is fixed in V12, right?.......you added a new option in Globals to turn off these hard-wired mappings?

Post

Yes, I believe so (hard to remember, but some LED is blinking in my old brain :D )
