Waveform 9 in Linux will not render tracks or import

Is this an issue that others have as well? I have tried to drag an MP3 clip into a track from the browser and it moves over and begins to render and stops at about 45%, leaving a blank clip.
Then, I tried to render a MIDI drum track and Waveform crashed immediately.
I am running Ubuntu Studio 16.04

I had the same issue with some files, too. Other files were working, though. I don't know yet why certain files aren't rendered, but I experienced the same issue.

Lame is installed, but I am not sure if it's pointed to yet. I can load the MP3 file into the browser and it will play from there just fine, but when I drag it to a track it begins to render, and then quits and I am left with a empty clip.
And the program crashed when I tried to render a MIDI drum clip. So I don't think it's a problem with lame.
Kott, what files would you like to see? I haven't looked at the Waveform Log yet either.

Things seem to be better now, rendering is working and I can import WAV files. Mp3 files are still blank but I never will need that feature anyway.
When I do get a crash, the log file says "!! killing thread by force !!"

MP3 files don't seem to crash the program, they just will not render when I try to import the and leave a blank clip. I can import WAV files just fine.

Can you send an example MP3 file that causes a crash to support@trackion.com please with some steps to reproduce the problem.
