Waveform 9 and ROLI Dashboard/Equator

Hello there!

It seems to me that there is an incompatibility between Waveform and ROLI Dashboard. When I start working with Seaboard Block I connect the Block to my computer by bluetooth and then fire up the Dashboard. So far so good! Problems begin when I start Waveform. It seems that Dashboard somehow affects the graphical interface of Waveform: cursor moves in "jumps" when playing back and also the movement on wild page of BioTek is jerky. Also - when switching back to Dashboard it can't find the Block anymore! By the way GUI works fine when I quit Dashboard.

Yesterday I encountered a new problem. Equator does not work properly when MPE is on: MIDI out of range issue and no playback with recorded material. Playback is ok when MPE is off.

All the software (inc. High Sierra) is updated to latest available build.

Has someone else encountered the same problems?

Janno, Finland

PS. Waveform is a very nice piece of software especially considering the price and I like it SO much!!!

Hi there, unfortunately you can't have multiple apps connected to BLOCKS at the same time. The way Waveform works is that it sends custom Littlefoot programs to the BLOCKS so they can communicate. It would be impossible for two apps to have control over BLOCKS in this way.

There is a message about this in the "BLOCKS Devices" section of the "MIDI Devices" settings page.

I'm not sure about the visual stuttering but it could simply be that having both apps open at the same time is taxing the CPU too much and the graphics are stalling as a result.

I'm not aware of any problems with Equator but we'll look in to that. It could be something to do with the recent changes to the MPE spec now it has become an official part of the MIDI spec.
